a year or so back I would have said he is a cancer to Youtube and the web and needs to be gotten rid of.

 

Nowadays, my opinion on PewDiePie is as follows. He is still a talentless hack who only deserves one fourth of the subscribers he currently has. I still don't like him, but is he the worst thing on the web? Honestly no he's not, there is much worse coughsuperpsyguycough. PewDiePie isn't really worth hating on if hes not doing anything other than what he normally dose. I just pretend he doesn't exist, besides, Markiplier is better in my opinion.

Used to like him. USED to. But nowadays, I'm interested in elsewhere than PewDiePie himself, and the overwhelming amount of subscribers is just too much, even for him.

I don't think he's very entertaining. I can stand sitting there and watch someone do something only if I feel like there is a substantial amount of meaningful stuff going on besides the actual gameplay footage, which I feel is not the case. I like him as a person but wouldn't watch his videos for pleasure.

Though I watch Markiplier more nowadays,

your's and my opinion are quite the same. I'm still kinda a fan, but I don't watch him as much as before. I do watch him every now and then. I was kinda relunant to watch him at first due to his fanbase. I then discovered his girlfriend's Youtube channel, CutiePieMariza. I didn't even know PewDiePie had a girlfriend until I saw Marzia's Draw My Life which was her first video I've seen from her because I was watching random Draw My Lifes. When I discovered she was the girlfriend of the one and only Pewds, I checked out her channel and had been a fan since. I saw PewDiePie in her videos and found him to be pretty funny in her videos so I checked out his channel and he's pretty funny here and there. Though I don't watch him as much as before (And my friends and I have lately been watching Markiplier more) I'm still kind of a small closet fan. It's also been a awhile since I've watch his girlfriend Marzia's videos.

 

Hmm... maybe I'll check them both out later on since I hadn't watch either in a long time because of this thread...

I like him because he's like a Swede and represents games but many don't like him... i like him because he reminds me of horrible content like James Rolfe or that twat Mike Matei. So its just a mirror for it in general

 

Basically ignorance hits itself in a reflection. Moaning about games, while this guy sorta mocks and laughs away and people gets annoyed by it. So thats why i just like him. Its an ironic mirror of horrible taste in youtube content ; 3

He seems nice enough, but I'm not really a fan of his commentary style, from what I've watched. I'm fine with a little immaturity, but it feels like he's pushing it too far, though I'm aware that he's catering to a lot of his fans that way. I've only seen his more recent videos, so far; maybe his older ones would've made me laugh, I'm not sure.

I think he's a very good person and a nice guy, and when he's off-camera I daresay he's nothing like the 'rape-joke and scream' Pewdiepie that everyone knows. I used to find him hilarious, then just stopped enjoying his videos. Occasionally I go back (very rarely) and can't make it through a video unless he somehow makes something that still makes me laugh. So yeah, I don't find him funny, but I don't hate him - he's a good person.

I hated on him for a really long time. Then I actually watched his videos for a while and got accustomed to his humor. I don't watch him all that much, I'm more of a Yognau(gh)t. I still enjoy a good dose of the Poods every once in a while. I believe that there was a quote about being required to hate something because it's popular, and the more popular it is, the more hate it deserves or something like that.

I think PewDiePie's pretty great! Of course, not everyone's going to like him or his humor and that's cool, but I think he's pretty funny myself. It's awesome to have seen him grow up over the years, and even if you see him screaming most of the time you can just tell he's matured (in a sense).

I haven't really took the time to properly watch his videos, so I don't know for sure, but based on what I have seen from him, he seems like a nice guy, but not into his videos a whole lot

I think his Youtube videos are reptitive and boring and the majority of his fanbase are rabid dogs that would suck hi-...you know what I'll stop there. BUT all that aside I do give respect to him as a person, not everyone can say they make a fortune from doing Youtube videos as a job and who knows, maybe he is a pretty cool guy to be around in real life so I wont judge him there.

I'll admit this, I used to be a huge PewDiePie fan when he had under 1 million subscribers. Back then, you felt like part of a community. He was much more connected to it and actually was entertaining. The games he'd play were actually fun to watch and he wasn't aiming to pander to his fans.

 

Now-a-days, I unsubbed long ago. As a person, I still respect him. He's a nice guy, but I cannot stand him anymore. The crap he posts to his channel simply panders to his immature fan base and isn't even remotely entertaining. It makes me feel a bit sad thinking back to it, but I guess times change.
