Why have we waited almost 3 weeks for the 100th episode?

Two things: they want to build up the hype and maybe add some finishing touches to the episode. They want to have an episode to make the audience go 'wow' right?

I don't know. Maybe it's awful. I have not tried to find out much about it but it does seem like a risky episode unless rumors about it were false. I also thought that it was going to be the 101st episode but supposedly it's not.

As for those that say that the wait builds hype, I must say that the season has been extended far enough already. I don't even think it will conclude by the time the third Equestria Girls movie is released which means the film won't be able to be written to reflect the season finale like the prior two films.

Weddings are complex and important moments in the lives of many couples. Cranky and Matilda have waited all their lives for this moment, so maybe you can wait a tad longer too.

Geez. And people say that Cranky is the ass...

I don't know how well a wedding episode that crams in lots of background characters will turn out.

EDIT: I meant to append my first post. Oh, well.

because its going to be a surprise 1 hour long episode with absolute zero graphical errors in the episode. So those "movie sin" youtubers cannot find a single thing wrong with the episode, so it gets a score of zero.

It's probably to build up hype. But the delay only annoyed me, the delay means I have to wait more weeks to get to the rest of the episodes of S5..

Which for ME means that we get an 'extended season'- that is, during the season's run it'll end a bit later than it would've without all the breaks, haha!

I'm willing to wait, but man I'm anxious. Better be a good one...

Knowing how resourceful bronies are they will pretty much piece the entire episodes and know what it is before it even aired. I mean does no one like being surprised anymore?

Nope! Not really. Surprise is a dead concept.

Guess adventuring and pioneering is a dead concept.

Could explain all these movie remakes and how the entire movie is shown in the trailers.

Hype, planned production schedule. I do need to point out that this is not without precedent. There have been 3 week breaks before. Case in point:

"Hearth's Warming Eve" - December 17, 2011

"Family Appreciation Day" - January 7, 2012

At least they did not split the season 5 premier over two weeks like they did with "Return of Harmony".
