One of the BEST Pixar movies I've ever seen and the best Pixar movie thus far, OMG the emotional elements were so strong and never have I seen a movie that focused on so many great elements of childhood and growing up and touched the core of that, the emotions are fantastic as characters and struggle themselves much like Riley does and I loved every minute of the film from start to finish. Definitely the best movie of 2015 and the short, Lava was emotional and touching, I was crying and singing along. The best Pixar short I've seen thus far, I definitely recommend Inside Out if you love Pixar films and if you're interested in seeing a deep and emotional movie that goes into psychology and the emotions of a child and the human mind. 10/10!

I know Sadness may be..well sad :P But I just want to say, Sadness is cutest emotion. :wub:attachicon.gifimage.jpg

Sadness was amazing, the scene where she comforted Bing Bong was my favorite of the movie.

It shows that Joy isn't always the best solution to everything (well that was maybe the most important moral of Inside Out). It would be nice to see that moral in MLP:FiM too.

Sadness really was my favorite. She was quite the underdog story, being pushed into the background at the beginning, but later finding her place. It really delivers the kind of moral we need these days, that there is a place for her, and it doesn't help if we keep her down. What's great about this movie is that there really is no such thing as a "negative" emotion when everyone knows their time and place. I really want a plushie of this character to hug. (OnO|||\

I also have to say she is the owner of the most adorkable (yet one of the most elusive) smiles in animation history. (^U^|||\

I liked it a lot, cause I could relate to it.

But,the beginning thing about the volcanoes was confusing and unnecessary.

The short called Lava? That basically focuses on a volcano that is surrounded by couples in love and feels alone so everyday he sings to God wanting a love too and not wanting to be alone not knowing that under the ocean a volcano hears him sing and one day when he begins to sink, she rises from underneath and sings his song, he then hears it and rises up and they fall in love and become one huge island.

Well,I knew that part. But,the movie wasn't about love. So,it wasn't even necessary.

Well if you think about it, the short was just a nice little thing they wanted to throw in before the movie, much like Geri's Game did before A Bug's Life. I just think of shorts as a nice little mini movie before the actual movie comes plus it's interesting to see what elements and stories are in shorts even if they aren't a full movie. That and the short and Inside Out are connected because both focus on emotions and an emotional aspect one being love the other being what we miss most about our childhood.

When I saw it,I thought it was a trailer. Not an actual part of the movie. I was like "the hell does this have to do with anything?"

I haven't watched it yet but I would love to see the movie although the only reason I want to see it is because I like the appearance of the main character who's name is Joy. I never really paid attention to the story though. :P I'm hoping that the franchise is still going to be popular in 12 months time because I'm going to be on vacation at that time, but because the movie had good reviews, I wouldn't worry too much. ^_^

Yeah I can understand that, you're entitled to your opinions on it as am I, I loved the short and I also enjoyed that it had Hawaiian elements which reminded me of Lilo & Stitch. Also in response to Seaswirl10, Inside Out is worth seeing in theaters, it made me laugh, cry and enjoy every moment in the movie.

Wow. *sniffle* That was emotional and very, very well made.

I finally had a chance to see the film a few days ago after my travel plans to travel home from work got changed and I have to say, it was the best Disney-Pixar film I have ever seen in a very long time! That's also considering that I haven't seen a film from both studios in a cinema (15 years to be exact) with the last being Toy Story 2.

I won't spoil any details for those who haven't seen the film yet, but my advice if you are planning to see it is be prepared to bring a pack of tissues, as some parts of the movie hit you right in the feels especially towards the end.

The movie also got me into the merch collecting path as well with a complete set of plushies:

I saw this movie yesterday.. one of the best I've seen in ages.

I cried when Bing Bong turned to dust. But my dad cried multiple times, which never happens. :P

That was just a very emotional moment for me. I've had imaginary friends-- not quite like that-- for a long time. I mentally grabbed back my imaginary friend in that moment and hugged her very tightly.

A really fun, family movie with awesome animation and everything. Rotten Tomatoes rated it 98%~

Fear, Disgust, Anger and Joy cost me $22 each from the Target Australia Online store. These are the Tomy talking plushies as the standard non talking type is hard to find here in Australia, but I took the batteries out and just have them on display.

There is also a Sadness Tomy varient, but I instead got the Fabikations version for around $35 from a pop culture/convention retailer.

Amazing movie. I loved Amy Poehler as Joy, great choice.

I can't help but see Joy and Sadness as Leslie and Phyllis.

I didn't find the movie that sad. But,I've never found Pixar/Disney movies sad.

Also,I'm hoping to get a Sadness plushie sometime.

Pixar always put a short before their movies. These shorts have generally nothing to do with the movies and aren't part of them.

I also disliked this one (Lava), but I've never liked them anyway.

Wow... That movie was exceptional. It's one of the first I wouldn't mind seeing again and again, all on the same day. There's so much substance to it and one watch just doesn't seem like it was enough to let everything soak everything in.

As somebody who suffers from depression, I can testify firsthand to how importance sadness is, and this movie really did that justice. Accepting sadness as a part of ourselves is difficult, to say the least, but it is also better than reacting with anger, disgust, and fear, which are all just ways of preventing an emotion that is not only necessary, but also helpful.

I finally saw the full movie for free on YouTube:

https://youtube.com/watch?v=Vkb4EANGgS0

(Well, bit of the beginning is cut off and I also believe the end too.)

I got to say, the movie was quite interesting and provoking as well as funny! I really loved the concept and orginial premise. I'm a pretty big fan of metaphors and they did it well done in this movie. Even the character designs for the emotions were pretty spot-on! The movie has excellent creativity of what goes on with our mind. I also like the concept with the islands making our personality and how the emotions control our thoughts. (Though, I'm surprised they had that scene in the end with anger happy with the swear word dictionary. O.o Wonder how many parents were shocked with that. Not to mention Disgust finding out about the Puberty button. I guess Disney and Pixar found the puberty joke from Big Hero 6 funny so they re-used it in Inside Out. :o ) But I honestly found those quite creative as well! I wasn't a fan of the last few movies by Pixar but Inside Out proved me otherwise. The jokes were also perfectly fitting!

I was kinda sad though when the imaginary friend of Railey's was forgotten. But in the end of the movie with the boy bands and fashion islands and the puberty button it seems that Railey grew up a bit in the end! I actually like what they did there!

My favorite thing about the movie besides the creative concepts are the emotion characters themselves. The character designs like I said were quite spot-on and were perfect for them all! I actually liked them all! Especially both Joy and Saddness. I like the message they did with Saddness in the movie about how in society we need to accept Saddness as a way of life and embrace it. It's good to let it all out. The portrayal of Saddness was well done! I also quite liked Joy. She was a great friend to Saddness and I love characters like her. I also loved the others and their portrayals were perfect!

The ending with Railey and her parents was also very sweet and great with saddness's potrayal. Truly showing how we need to accept feeling sad sometimes and it's completely normal. =)

My only disappointment was that I wish we could have seen a bit more in the movie and see the emotions in other character's brains besides Railey and her parents and that boy in the end. (And maybe have that boy in the end stretched out a bit. :P I can see him as a potential love interest for Railey in a sequel if the movie ever gets one in the future.) And I feel some of the movie was kinda short. I wanted to see a bit more. But other than that, I adored the movie! One of my new favorite Disney movies along with Big Hero 6 and Tangled and Wreck-It-Ralph now! :adorkable:

All in all I believe the movie was quite well done and visually creative in many aspects! I adore works like these that uses it's imagination for using personification with concepts like these like our feelings and personality! :D

Also, I found one of the best videos on YouTube with Inside Out and Five Nights At Freddy's:

^^^This video is so...

I really want to see Inside Out :pinkie: It looks so good! :fluttershy::wub:

And hopefully it'll stop the Frozen hype! ;)

I sadly doubt that. :P Frozen is getting itself a sequel so I'm sure the "storm" of the Frozen hype will still "rage on". (Pun intended)

Kinda a shame though, even though I don't hate Frozen, Inside Out is truly a wonderful piece of work. But I'm kinda tired of the Frozen hate. =P

They actually do show the classmates' emotions in the credits.

Ah, I guess I didn't see that because I saw the movie on YouTube so I hadn't seen the credits with the classmate's thoughts. I should looked it up or something. Thanks for telling me! :D Edited by GoldenFazbearFreddy

I saw it in 3d and thought it was really good.  Disney has been on a roll with the last few features they have put out and this one keeps up with that quality.  I particularly liked the bit at the end when you get to go into the minds of some interesting characters.  I won't say anything more than that, for those who have not seen the film yet.  Stay for the credits.  My wife actually cried in this one, which is surprising because disney flicks generally don't get her to go all mushy, but this one does pull a few of those strings because the characters feel very real and relatable.
