I'm back from the dead =o And I bring a dragon-pony. She is Vox, and she is a singer. =) Now I just have to put her in some band.

She's really cool, what kind of music/band?

Thanks =p. And she likes electronic music so maybe a drum n bass band or even a rock or punk band is something I think she would like to be part of.

Oh wow, that is a really good  :o. Good job

Thank you =)

This is the first dragon pony I have drawn and I don't see other dragon ponies that often, but the few I saw were pretty cool so I wanted to make one myself. I did a quick check of your friend Flash Brush's profile but couldn't see a dragon pony anywhere, otherwise I would have checked it out =p.

Ah no you don't have to do that xP If she already has an image and if it isn't too much trouble to put it up somewhere it would be cool to see it. But really it's not a big deal I was just curious.

oh wow i love it from the look to the art style of yours!! keep up the awesome work!!

Thanks a lot =D and I'll try.

That's very cool, I approve of this, I say you got the style correct and the colors, makes me want more ponies like this one.

oh my yes! i love dragonponies mostly cause i like dragons and ponies, combining them is instant awesomeness!

you have VERY smooth lines btw, do you use your free hand to make them or a seperate tool for more stable lines?

i've been drawing for 3 years now practicing dragons and ponies
i'd love it if you could check out my Deviantart or Tumblr.

Nice work~ The lines look especially smooth and defined, and it feels good to look at.

Thanks =D I tried to draw in a slightly different way than I usually do and it turned out not too bad.

Well your name makes a lot of sense then =P and I love dragons and ponies too. The lines are freehand, I just drew a line, ctrl-z if I didn't like it, drew it again, until I got a line that I was happy with.

I also try to draw the whole line without stopping, especially with curves. For example the curve of her neck, chest and belly is drawn with one continuous stroke. The horns were drawn with two strokes each as well, meeting at the top of the horn.

Trying to stop in the middle of a curve and then trying to continue it with a new stroke is hard and doesn't look too good. Some more complex or really long lines though are hard to do with just one stroke but then I just try to draw it with as few strokes as possible anyway.

Sometimes lines are easier to draw smoothly if I zoom in more and try to use my whole arm to draw, and sometimes it's easier to zoom out and draw with just the wrist. I haven't really found a way that I stick to all the time, I kinda go for what feels best at the moment.

Hope that makes sense and/or answers your question =).

alright i use the same technique, which just means there's more practice to be had. personally i feel like rough lines can add a nice touch as well. though it's hard to not make that look amateuristic.

thanks for explaining! it's still a help to hear how you made it in detail

No problem. And I agree that rough lines can look nice, if they look as if they were drawn so intentionally. I followed you on tumblr btw ;p

Sweet, thanks =p I had a pretty long period of inactivity on my tumblr but the addition of Vox hopefully marks the start of my comeback.

So cool :o I wish I could draw like that... that is seriously really good.

Thank you. You can definitely reach this level if you practice. I am still a beginner artist and I managed to =p

I'll try! :) But I think this is better than beginner's art. XD

Good luck! And at least in the sense that I still have so much that I want and need to learn, I am a beginner =p And I have been drawing for a relatively short period, about 3 years. And during that time I haven't always been able to draw as much as I would have wanted.
