general questions What is this sites format/layout?

Mabye this question is a little confusing. But im asking this because ive seen a lot (maybe not a lot, more like 2-3) of sites that have a very similar formatting to this one, especially the mobile versions.
 
This site is an example: http://forums.obsidian.net/

 

The similarities are striking, and on the mobile site, its identical to MLP forums.

 

So what im asking is:

 

1) is there a name or template or something for this type of forum layout?

 

2) is there perhaps a hub to see which sites use this particular layout/formatting?

I normally use mobile when i use MLP forums, and I never have the need to scroll down there when i do.

MLPForums uses IP.Board 3.0, if I remember correctly, thus it's normal that the forum that you linked has the same layout as this one, as both of them use the normal mobile layout given by IP.Board.

The two accurate answers. Though there is a lot of custom work that has gone into MLPF, the vendor and software used is IPS and IP Board. I'll go ahead and close this out.
