What's your favorite Subway sandwich?

Here is the evolution of my subway sandwich.

When I was little, I liked ham and cheese on Italian bread. Yes, I was very boring and did not like to try new things.

Then it evolved into ham, cheese, lettuce, and onions on Italian bread. As you can see, there is now more substance.

I decided to try to make a healthier sub. My new sandwich consisted of ham, cheese, spinach, onions, oil and vinegar, and wheat bread.

Then I found out that I had Celiac disease, so now I don't really eat at Subway anymore :please:

I almost always get sick when I go there, because I'm allergic to olives, but on the rare occasions when I'm feeling particularly foolish, I get a veggie with cheese, lettuce, spinach, cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes and jalapeños. Top that sucker with some pepper and vinegar.

That is too sad! Olives are my favorite thing to put on sandwiches and pizza ... But feeling foolish you say? :okiedokielokie: NEVER! It is living life!  :ooh: Go crazy!  :pinkie:  Just make sure you don't go so crazy that sandwich would be your last! Hahahaha

It's been soooooo long since I had a Subway sandwich. Like I think we're literally talking 16 years plus. Lol.

All I remember eating was bun and turkey. I have no idea exactly why I stopped. I've been thinking I could probably try that again, actually.

My fave: Chicken Bacon Ranch on Mozzarella bread, toasted with Mayonnaise and black olives.

I used to eat Subway at least once a week, but then they jacked their prices up. I probably haven't had one in over a year.

Sounds delicious! I should try that.

Also, what do you mean they jacked their prices up? I recall a typical foot long always being $5 Though I am fairly certain the price for adding extra of anything has certainly gone up.

O.K., I used to eat Subway for 4 meals a week. I would get whichever specialty sub was the $5 sub of the month, and a sub that was always a $5 footlong, like a Spicy Italian. About two years ago they quite putting their more expensive sandwiches on the $5 sale, and now only include sandwiches like the Spicy Iatlian and Meatball Marinara on their $5 menu for limited amounts of time.

Also, this was a few years ago when I was living in a small town where it was like, either Subway or McDonald's. Now I live in a city with over 200,000 residents, so with more choice I've started eating places we didn't have back home, slightly less mainstream restaurants. I've been eating a lot of Taco Bueno recently hoping to see Sonata Dusk there one of these days XD , I also frequent Pizza Street, Culver's, Jack In The Box, and a couple of the locally-owned Japanese buffets ( I LOVE authentic sushi!)

  • 2 weeks later...

First of all... SUBWAY!!!!!!!!!

Footlong ham on Italian, 5 pieces of ham, not toasted, bacon, American cheese, extra lettace, pickles, salt & extra pepper, dab of oil, extra vinigar.

Or as the people at my local Subway call it... the usual.

I have eaten the same thing for over 6 years, and I don't ever plan on stopping.

Subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway-subway......

I have a slight obsession.

I don't go to Subway very often, but when I do I always get the same thing. Oven-roasted chicken on Italian herbs and cheese with jalapeños, onions, pickles, spinach, and mayo. Good balance of savory, spicy, and tangy.

Ain't much I can do but I do what I can, But I'm not a fool there's no need to pretend

And just because you got yourself in some shi-, It doesn't mean I have to come deal with it

You handle your own when you become a man, And become a man when you handle your own

Ain't much I can do, but I do what I can, But what can I do if I do till it's gone?
