A clue to how old ponies are in Equestria

The show never really told us how old ponies are, and although EQG shows the mane 6 as 16 year olds, that could simply be chalked up as their human ages. A cat that is 3 years old is practically a young adult, you dig?

 

BUT after watching A Canterlot Wedding (a personal favorite) part 1, one particular line caught my... ears I guess, since my eye cant catch sound, but anyway. The line was Cadence, who was actually Chrysalis saying "This would be good, if it were a six year olds birthday party".

 

That means that ponies still consider six to be an immature age, thus it wouldn't be too far-fetched to say ponies in Equestria have a similar lifespan to humans, no?

Well there is also reason to believe they live much longer

For instance granny smith talked about how she was part of founding pony ville when she was a girl but in winter wrap up episode twilight says they've manually wrapped up winter its been the ponyville way for hundreds of years so that would make granny smith at least 200years old

But the way I do it is with OC 's I say they are a filly or young made etc then I say like however old in human years ons the side

I believe their lifespan is similar to humans, however, the way their society is set up is much different from the real world. DrWolf001 has a good analysis on Equestria's education system:

Chances are most likely that the Mane Six are the same as their Equestria Girls ages.

Funny enough there was a six year olds birthday party in that one episode with Sweetie Belle being jealous about Rarity stealing the spotlight. So yeah, six would make her very young, so I guess they age like humans.
