I personally like it as it is now, but it would be interesting to see more fillies added to the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

So I'm pretty much torn between wanting it to stay the same, and wanting more members.

The CMC subplot is my least favourite tbh... The three fillies are annoying enough, I wouldn't fancy seeing more of those. :'D

On the other hand, I love it when they introduce new characters to the show! I'm always excited to see a new pony, even a filly!

I wonder whether they're even going to conclude the core CMC members by obtaining their marks. If not, why bother expanding it? This is the "Cutie Mark Magic" season, is it not? If they won't bother advancing the narrative now then they probably never will. This novelty of the CMC will just keep going on and on.

Mmh, I think it's a bit too late. The CMC should get their cutie marks soon, and after 5 seasons it would be odd to add other characters in the group.

There are already 10 characters + some like AJ's family, the other alicorns, & Zecora that show up in a lot of episodes.  That is already too many subplots, I can't see them adding more

Maybe after the Crusaders get their marks they can introduce a new, markless character who is younger than them for them to guide. It would be neat to see the CMC transition from wandering souls to mentors.

There are still many blank flank foals around, and it would make sense for them to join. While the idea is tempting, it would oversaturate it with characters that, either steal the spotlight from the original crussaders, or don't get enough -_-

That would make sense actually, not only introducing new characters to the mix, but also showing the growth of the fillies and new challenges  . I just hope we finally get a bat pony there  :okiedokielokie:

That could be done if executed exactly right. Apps could run something like a camp where blanks would go and get mentoring and such. Of course, exactly how much demand that would even give is uncertain since the CMC are pretty much unique as far as foals that can't get their cutie marks go. Most foals seem to get theirs naturally. The CMC are very odd fillies though. And lastly, there are no bat ponies in Equestria so maybe you can write a fan fiction about that.

I think it's up for discussion as to what they are. I'm would like for the writers to weigh in on what they are at some point.

I have a really biased opinion since my favourite pony is a CMC and I like the CMC more than the Mane Six to begin with. But I would like to see more of them, and not just for personal reasons. If not, I am fine with how it is now.

I always figured that "cutie mark anxiety" is a regular part of many foals' lives before they get their mark, just as awkwardness is a part of life for most young teens and pre teens while they are still figuring out who they are as people. I think the CMC are just the only ones we get to see experiencing that anxiety.

I would like to see more CMC - but not as an active plot point, just a background thing where you see them in the clubhouse or selling muffins at a CMC fundraiser.  The reasoning is that I would like to see the original CMCs finally get their cutie marks.  It's painful watching Sweetie Belle not realize her singing is her gift... or watching Scootaloo do amazing tricks but not make the connection.

 

Out of curiosity, aside from her studies in potion-making, is there an obvious cutie mark for Apple Bloom I haven't picked up on yet?  Perhaps Apple Bloom could get a cutie mark for comedic timing.
