This question has a slight flaw in it. If I was meeting my special someone for the first time they’re not really my ‘special someone’ yet, but rather, a complete stranger. It would be a first date and I’d have to get to know them from scratch before I could make a customized effort catering to their interests and any personal chemistry involved. If I already know someone I can do a great many nice things, based on their interests. My go-to in most situations is to take them to Disneyland or other theme park. In my limited experience it’s a great way to be with someone, learn their interests, personality, tastes, tolerance levels and sense of fun. It’s casual, but can also be romantic, adventurous or just plain silly. It covers all the bases.

If said person was truly that special, I'd make my actions and words have her understand she's the most important thing to me. Make her feel like she's the best person in the world. Put her before me, because I know that she would put me before herself when the time arises. Hopefully it's pretty balanced, however, else then there's trust issues. Help her with her goals or desires when possible. Be generous towards her. The most generous thing you can do isn't necessarily the physical amount you give, but how much of your time it took to give that thing (and hopefully that turns out to be meaningful).

 

How would I do this? Well I'm not sure, I don't have a special someone ! I'd certainly be tested with time in that scenario... I guess even basic things like listening to her, laughing at her jokes even if they aren't funny (or boo it jokingly because why not , not that it's usually the girl telling the bad jokes  ), randomly say or do something nice, etc... just general stuff.

If they wanted to, we could go to my favorite pizza place in New Haven and/or we could go to the beach.  If they weren't into any of that, that'd be fine. I mean, me liking the beach is very uncharacteristic for me, lets be honest, but it it just turned out that way. 

Gosh darnit, now I'm craving pizza. It's been sooooo long.  Please, let that special someone come soon so I can have pizza.
