What would your reaction be if EG became part of the show?

What would your reaction be if they started adding in Equestria Girls episodes as part of the main series?

 

I would like it because I have become pretty intrigued about the going ons in Canterlot High.

I like EQG a lot but I think the two series should remain separate.  

 

Still, I wouldn't mind seeing a little bit more of a crossover between them.  Like how the beginning of the first two EQG movies started in Equestria and then moved to...whatever the human world is called.

 

Not enough interaction between the two series that they affect each other, but just enough that people who hate EQG have no choice but to admit that it is canon.

Serious note, I think they should remain separate entities. If they want to make an EQG series, just make one. There's really no point of mixing it with FiM other than causing serious confusion

I'd prefer eqg and FiM to stay seperate, even the little nods to the series they do in the equestria girls movies kinda get on my nerves, I just don't want them to do some sort of crossover between a thing I love and a thing I dislike. Though would it technically be a crossover since it's canon, has the same characters and is from the same staff? Either way, I like my pony shows with ponies, and that's how I feel

Now that I think about it, it would be awkward if they did one of those segments in the MLP series.  I was okay with it in the EQG movies but I doubt I'd like it as much if they tried it with the main show.

 

The only exception I can see for a crossover in MLP is if Sunset Shimmer came through the portal and did an episode (or a two-parter) in her pony form and then went back again afterwards.

I love both EQG and FiM to death, but I don't know about seeing that, I want to see Sunset cross over to Equestria though....and it could be a great gag if the Humane 6 met the mane 6 in some sort of finale. 

 

 

But I am confused. Are you saying you want to see a cross over?.....or are you saying EQG episodes need to be within the FiM series like shorts?

 

And towards some of the other replies, you guys do know that even if humans came into Equestria, they will simply turn into ponies and vice versa

I absolutely love EQG, but I would burn with a white hot rage if it directly crossed over into FiM. EQG is 100% canon to FiM, but is self contained to its own universe, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

well, if we go by the comics, there is already an alternate universe where celestia and luna are evil, and sombra is good

 

and let's not forget the superhero alternate universe

 

It does open up possibilities - for example a way to lead to entire fan universes - the writers have a goldmine in their fandom in that their fans are entirely willing to write entire storylines FOR them to reference, and they don't even have to get paid! I would totally use that resource

I'm not quite sure that the superhero universe wasn't just a construct of the enchanted comic. I thought of it as sort of a holodeck.

Well, I can't really say no to it. The writers have proven themselves time and time again! They did make Diamond Tiara fully develop with one episode alone and actually made it work amazingly! I'm sure they can make this work too! Trust me, Hasbro knows how to make things work!

You basically just stated the Reflections arc of the comics XD. As that's a VERY disputed comic arc with lots of "love it or hate it", I think its not a good idea (The canon explanation for the mirrors is that Starswirl didn't actually invent most of his spells, he just made portals to other worlds in the mirrors and swapped magical notes with all the other mages and gathered info that way, like Bioshock infinite's villain stealing tech from other realities. The human world is just one of many other mirrors)

I did love the story arc of how Shining Armor won Cadence's heart. It was funny and very sweet.

Sadly, the comics took a bit of a downturn around the shining/cadence arc. reflections was very contested, and the following arcs of cattle rustlers and ponyville days have inspired much RAEG. (Cattle rustlers especially.).

 

I can say though that you might like the Reflections arc, as it has some interesting concepts, and it at least picks back up for the siege of the crystal empire.

Its a hanging plot point, but I don't think they have immediate plans for it. If I'm remembering my tweet information right, the writer said that he did that basically because Hasbro told him no killing and that's about as close as you can get.
