Like not what Discord did, but actual separate physical beings that are the opposite of the mane 6.

 

I don't think the writing team would like viewers to think they're just raiding inspiration from Craig McCracken and Lauren Faust's Powerpuff Girls scripts.

One may guess from one thing; they may try to avoid repeating themselves.

So, Discord is confirmed, and all changelings are still at large.

What more?

Discord is already done .... so how can he be introduced without repetition?

The wedding Was Cadence's time to shine, perhaps other characters will get to shine, too?

I think of a animation i saw recently, with DJ PON3/Vinyl Scratch blasting Discord with a heavily massive bass speaker ... i don't think that would be near enough, but together with Zecora, Big Mac and a few others working at their peak, it may be enough to get the Mane6 ready for another round again ...

Or Luna and Cadence working together?

 

If, or rather, when, the changelings comes sneaking back, they may cause some massive problems, and those problems could really possibly free Discord, even if the Changelings has no idea who Discord is ...

 

As for any new opposition and villains ... Let's see what we already have:

Friend turned Foe, Divine scale.

Fun chaos with outright disturbance.

The Impostor - succubus/energy absorber.

 

So, what is left?

Crreping chaos and disturbance.

Friends turned foes, low scale.

The Mob (may or may not be mindcontrolled).

Mutant Parasprites.

Beings of Equestrian myth.
