“After unlocking the mystery of the Stargate's ninth chevron, a team of explorers from Equestria become stranded on an unmanned spaceship called Destiny - launched by the Ancients at the height of their civilization millions of years ago as part of a grand experiment to explore the universe, set in motion but never completed. The crew of the ship thus travels through the far reaches of the universe, connecting with each of the previously launched Stargates, in the hope of finding a way home.”





This roleplay will start in the morning in the Equestrian Gate Complex. A place where the planet’s Stargate is located and where all incoming and outgoing gate travel runs through. The base will be attacked mid afternoon during the final test of dialling the 9th chevron address. The only survivors of the attack to make it through will be the ponies in this roleplay. Once we are on the ship the roleplay will properly begin and anything can happen.

The main course of the roleplay will be set on an alien ship drifting through space. Obviously, it's a different universe so anything could happen. Think of this of an open world roleplay, except most of the events will take place in and around the ship, such as expeditions to planets and such.

Due to the nature of the ship and the roleplay, I will have to take on the role of the ships AI at times and give notifications when the ship comes in and out of FTL. Type the name in my signature underneath your application. To apply, simply give a link to your OC’s page, a brief summary of your oc and add any adjustments you might need to make for the roleplay below. Write this all the best you can, as I'll take your writing quality into account.

Well I don't actually have an OC page for the character I want to use. I gave a little description of him in the PM, if I add much more detail about him in a post here could it still count as being accepted? Or should I create an OC page?

 

An OC page would be preferable, but your idea is just fine.

It is also closed to the general population of the forums for now, think of it as a whitelist for the people I have roleplayed with in the past.

 

If you're going to start joining roleplays, read the OP. Especially the bold stuff.

No idea. It's fairly high tech so post what you feel you want and I'll see if it's alright, or even possibly cannon to the show.

 

 

Do I have to have an OC or can it be an existing character?

I'd say either, but I can't remember if the forum has a rule against existing characters in normal rp's.

 

Also, I may as well just open the rp as nobody seems to read the op.

For example, instead of the Enclave armour, I was considering giving her something resembling stealth armour, and either making her some kind of space pirate or part of some kind of army :P

Could you briefly explain the technology in that suit. I'm basic technology guidelines on the level of technology in Stargate to keep it relevant.

Well I was thinking it's lightweight, with temporary invisibility with charge-up time when it runs out, and possibly some rocket thrusters for short-distance travel, e.g. from one ship to another at close range

Ye don't have to, I plan to provide some background information before we start.

That'll be fine. But there will be some supplies already on the ship.

Define space pirate. The crew is supposed to be from a Stargate base, so we're all either military, civilian or stowaway.

Though, if there is something else I could figure some sciency thing out where someone wormhole jumps by accident.

Destiny will have two shuttles. You could be the main pilot of one of them when they are used.

 

 

Also, note to all. I'm going to try and figure out what we're going to do about space battles.
