When will season 3 begin?

I certainly hope not -- if we had no confirmed start date all the way out to 10/11 that would mean it wasnt going to start until November or something. They are walking on thin ice right now -- Every day longer it goes 500 bronies are forgetting about the show (note I am not talking people who are active enough to post on a board like this one).

Yeah, at this point, I'm wondering what their game is... I mean, it really seems like they should have the season finished by now... If we don't know anything about the release date by the tenth (because that's the air date of the first season, or eleventh, at the comic con) of October, I might just be one of those "500 bronies" that forget about the show.

Additionally, Hasbro stated they would give a concrete release date exactly one month prior to the actual release - something they haven't done yet. They probably forgot about it or have decided that it would be cooler to make it a surprise release before we expect it, since I personally doubt it'll be released that late. Just seems stupid to keep the bronies waiting, some are bound to get uninterested.

Anyways, yes, we can know. I know that it won't air on the 29th of this month, because I checked TV listings. Also, it can't be this month because we know the release window is Q4 2012 (the fourth quarter of 2012), which starts in October. Also, we know it will air in Fall 2012, which ends on the 21st of December. This doesn't matter much, though, seeing as the first two season 3 episodes will come out on dvd on the 4th of December.

 

All this information basically tells us that October 6th is the earliest, and December 1st is the latest. (I mean, come on. Would Hasbro seriously air season 3 after the DVD release of the first two episodes???)

Anyways, even with all that info it's still not set in stone. Before Hasbro releases an official release date, it could all be subject to change. Obviously it's unlikely, but it sounds really stupid to set an absolute range in which the release might be.

People are leaving the fandom right and left. Right now it is not the hardcore fans although some hardcore fans are softening a bit. It is the borderline bronies who actually enjoyed the show but didn't show up here and were looking forward to season 3 and have now forgotten about the show that we have lost the most of. My 500 bronies per day is a fairly educated guess. Right now they are hurting themselves by not at least providing a date and getting this party started as soon as possible.

 

If I could inflict 50 pinkie pies on hasbro right now, I would do it.

I guess we now have some kind of idea, but it means we have to wait another 2 months or so before the new season begins.

It will be 4 weeks. If there hub doesn't announce it by then, then we will find out by our selves thanks to some TVs being able to go to 4 weeks.

Everypony is still saying that they "hope it's not only 13 episodes," and, "I hope the episodes will be longer," when in actuality, we know that these things won't happen. I went onto Top Draw Animations' website (the studio that's doing season 3), and it said that DHX Media ordered 13 22 minute episodes. So, yeah. The studio itself says so. Derpyhooves news did some calculating, and it seems that the latest we'll be seeing Season 3 is November 17th or 24th.

 

This is because The Hub said that they would announce season 3's air date 4 weeks before it started. The latest they will announce the date is October 20th (that's 30 days from now). 4 weeks from then is November 17th and 24th.
