OC in need of a Name

Well apparently I have this OC and She suppose to be my pony representing my artist side. Buuut... she don't have a name. I'm not even sure what her special talent is even suppose to be, yet I already have a cutie-mark designed for her. and surprisingly I also never drew her with her eyes open, and other people mistake her as a stallion instead of a mare.

 

Any suggestions on her name and her special talent? after while, I will open a "ask my pony" ... thing ... for her HERE.

As requested, maybe I should talk about her personality. she is supposedly zany and very upbeat. She also tends to be very shrewd and sarcastic all the while just being chill in general. She can also be spontaneous yet calm. she's kind of all over the place.

One thing that makes it difficult to name is the lack of explanation on the Cutie Mark. Cutie Marks describe most of a pony's talent and should be considered when naming your pony. The current cutie mark is rather hard to determine because there's a lot going on. I would recommend changing it if you can't think of a good explanation for it. All that comes to my mind for it would have to be stargazing or something involving fame/publicity.

 

I'd also consider taking the colors into consideration.

Rose, lavender, violet, perhaps even something like dark or dusk could be used to describe the pony.

If the pony is representing your artistic flair, attempt to give it a name after that. Perhaps tools, actions or terms involving the production of art?

Easel, sketch, creation, skillful, detailed, or colorful could be used.

A majority of naming is about mixing and matching to see your personal preference. Using the given, I could provide names such as:

Skillful Rose

Colorful Dusk

Violet Sketch

etc.

 

I couldn't find this sampled into the topic, but you should really consider giving her a personality and using those describing words on her as well. (I was able to work with nouns and visual adjectives at a minimum)

Thank you for your input. as requested I've talked about her personality. your suggestions for names are very interesting but I'm going to keep an open mind and see what other people can think up with.

I'm still not sure what the cutie mark could mean.

It could be a symbol of leadership. the blue dots are the followers and the red star is him/her. the thing in the middle could stand for communication

okay, so far I've been thinking about naming her "Sketchy Flare", and making her special talent be in making others feel good about themselves and/or feel special.

 

not quite yet finalized, so I'm still picking up suggestions, especially for the cutie mark. if you think what I picked is great, I would love to know.

Your cutie mark design reminds me of something like a guardian angel- that would work really well with the special talent! Someone who will comfort/watch over others
