Lithophila 291 January 8, 2016 Share January 8, 2016 (edited) I haven't seen it. But apparently i read a wiki on it. Its a documentary on the fandom, its made in 2012 i think. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronies:_The_Extremely_Unexpected_Adult_Fans_of_My_Little_Pony Edited January 8, 2016 by Lithophila

K1NG_NAZARA 15 January 8, 2016 Share January 8, 2016 It's a great Doc. Better documentary than the second one too. I was too tired while making this so I fussed up a lot of frames. Will fix if I can be bothered.

Gestum 2,493 January 8, 2016 Share January 8, 2016 It's aimed toward non-bronies I get that, but I am fairly sure that people have better things to do then to watch a documentary about a fandom.
K1NG_NAZARA 15 January 8, 2016 Share January 8, 2016 I get that, but I am fairly sure that people have better things to do then to watch a documentary about a fandom. Not exactly true. This is mostly for people that have brony friends/sons/daughters/family This documentary shows all the good sides of the fandom without being in your face about it. With touching stories and everything. It is NOT for people that are dense and too conservative as they wouldn't even watch it. And it's also not for bronies themselves 1 I was too tired while making this so I fussed up a lot of frames. Will fix if I can be bothered. Black Sabbath 2,486 January 8, 2016 Share January 8, 2016 This is mostly for people that have brony friends/sons/daughters/family And they would watch this because...? I mean, I like toast but my family doesn't sit and watch an hour and half long documentary about people who like toast because of that.
MelloSkitzo 57 January 8, 2016 Share January 8, 2016 It's meant to be informative to non-bronies in an unbiased but positive way that reinforces the fandom itself. Not for conservatives, sexists, or homophobic people obviously. An not made for us.
Sapphire Lightning 784 January 8, 2016 Share January 8, 2016 (edited) John De Lance was the driver behind it. Also, it has John De Lance in it. Nuff said. It is a good documentary, and would be something somepony could show their friends/family if they are worried about coming out. It would help assuage any worries (unwarranted) that some parents may have about such a thing. Gestum 2,493 January 8, 2016 Share January 8, 2016 Not exactly true. This is mostly for people that have brony friends/sons/daughters/family And your point is? If they have questions about the fandom then they can ask their brony friends/sons/daughters/family. And wouldn't it be better to show them a documentary that isn't made by bronies?

I mean, I like toast but my family doesn't sit and watch an hour and half long documentary about people who like toast because of that. Let's say your 15 year old son has confessed he's a brony and you don't know anything about it or how you should feel about it. By watching this documentary, you can understand what he likes, and thus after seeing what's it all about, you can choose to support him or not. Without watching it and disliking his choice you become a judgemental ass. If you did watch it and still dislike his choice then you're being a parent because you showed interest before "jumping the gun" I was too tired while making this so I fussed up a lot of frames. Will fix if I can be bothered.

And wouldn't it be better to show them a documentary that isn't made by bronies? It indeed would be. But some bronies are extremely prideful about the fandom. I however, am proud but not vehement about it.

Ok, my 15 year old son has told me he's a brony. I google the term (or I could just ask him what it means) and find out that it's a name for people who like a cartoon, and since I'm a sane person I don't give half a fuck. I've now saved one and a half hour of my life.

simba86 1,541 January 9, 2016 Share January 9, 2016 from what I remember john delancie was not to happy because when it came out it was pirated to the point that they had trouble making the 350,000 dollars they spent making it back It's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees! GeekySonic 1,150 January 9, 2016 Share January 9, 2016 What's the point of getting worked up over this? Jeez, why am I worked up over this? It's a documentary. There are documentaries about lots of insane things. Things that can easily be googled. Call me crazy, but some people like watching documentaries. It's for whoever the hell wants to watch it. End of story. (Sorry for acting like a douche, I'm in a foul mood) I also just realized I'm a day late to the party. Whatever, posting anway 2 Check out my voice-acting demo reels on Casting Call Club, if you'd like.
Metemponychosis 1,261 January 9, 2016 Share January 9, 2016 I bought it when it came out. It's... Eh... I think it tries a bit too hard. It's not bad, but it almost looks like it's trying to sell the image that the fandom is somehow... I don't want to say better, but different. That it's very welcoming and all that. I think that this is too subjective and related to personal opinion, so it almost felt like propaganda. https://www.fimfiction.net/user/32864/Metemponychosis For dumb, self-important fics about mythology, ponies and fascist griffons that can't figure friendship out. And I'm just getting started.
Megas 27,653 January 9, 2016 Share January 9, 2016 I always thought having a documentary about any fandom, let alone the Brony fandom, was really silly Then again, it's pretty normal to make documentaries of weird things
KatonRyu 1,033 January 9, 2016 Share January 9, 2016 Hmm, I never saw this one. I saw the one with Ashleigh Ball, though, the 2014 one. I'm not entirely sure what to think of it. One one hand, it's fun to watch, but I will admit some parts of it just make me cringe.
