Dreambiscuit 9,691 June 3, 2019 Share June 3, 2019 The vast majority of my clothes are customized creations. I love to go to thrift shops and buy old costumes from the ‘80s (when I can find them) and make a few tweaks of my own. The older styles already have more flair than what I usually find on the shelf in most stores, so making a few minor alterations to make them ‘pop’ isn’t very hard to do. Lucky Bolt 35,063 June 3, 2019 Share June 3, 2019 (edited) Only thing I've done to modify/customize my clothes would be cutting my old jeans and turning them into shorts. Edited June 3, 2019 by Lucky Bolt ☆ My socials ☆
ZiggWheelsManning 10,297 January 25, 2022 Share January 25, 2022 No, because I fear getting stained with paint 1 Special thanks to Emerald Heart for the banner!
Denim&Venöm 18,966 January 25, 2022 Share January 25, 2022 Not normally. Closest was cutting the hood off an old Shinedown hoodie due to my old jobs safety policies. However I am working with my mom to add patches onto this white denim jacket, if that counts.

ExplosionMare 18,062 February 1, 2022 Share February 1, 2022 If I tried that, pretty sure all my clothing would turn to shreds I already have a history of cutting holes through my shirts in an attempt to remove the tags. Boom!
Reality Check 632 February 2, 2022 Share February 2, 2022 I have learned to sew and design, but I've never personally customize my clothing, mostly 'cause it's not something I considered doing

EpicEnergy 23,218 December 29, 2022 Share December 29, 2022 I like clothing just the way it is. If I don't think it's good enough, I simply won't buy it rather than buy it and customize its appearance. *totally not up to any shenanigans*
Treeglow Flicker 13,669 April 9, 2023 Share April 9, 2023 The only customization I've really done is replacing the buttons on some of my waistcoats with more interesting ones. I would love to customize more stuff, but there just hasn't really been any need to.
Samurai Equine 51,445 April 10, 2023 Share April 10, 2023 Lately, I have been thinking about customizing more and more. I don't have sewing skills or anything similar, but I have been so tempted. With prices going up everywhere, and with me having a harder and harder time finding clothing that really fits my unique sense for fashion and style, it is so tempting. Especially when plain, solid color shirts are so cheap, and raw materials are just so affordable. Even if total costs for everything ends up being the same as a designer shirt, at least I'd be in charge of the design. Maybe I'm just too old, but I could have sworn I had an easier time finding designer-looking clothing when I was younger. Perhaps kids just have more options than adults realize?
