Character Texture Sheets

 

Hi, I'm Ethan and today I have decided to start doing basic texture sheets for people because I find it so useful. When other people were doing art for me and such, I often had to give them the specific colors and cutie mark, but then I created a texture sheet that contained the two body colors, the two mane colors and the eye gradient along with the cutie mark.

 

These sheets will act as a way to keep all of the colors and a separate cutie mark within one document.

 

Here's an example for my ponysona; Scarlett.

Now I'm offering to do the same for people. Each request will take less than a day to make. It's a single request per person until the next queue or if nobody else requests within 24 hours.

 

All I'll need is an image of you're character's mark, preferably over 620x620 pixels. As well as the hex code colors for your characters body (the main part), the secondary color (the outline), your character's mane colors as well as it's outline colors, and finally the eye color/gradient.

 

Or, just the cutie mark and a good image of your character that is in full color. I will take the colors directly from the image if you give me one unless you specify a different color for a specific part.

 

Clouds indicate request progress:

☁ Completed (with link)

 

When a request is complete, the cloud will turn green and will become clickable as a link to the post in which I display the finished product.

 

A "queue" is a chunk of 5 requests. When requesting, you will be given a queue number as well as a request number. This is so I can keep track of what I'm doing more easily, and so if you lose your reference sheet you can easily find it again in the "Completed Queue's" section.

 

A queue has to be fully completed before I move on to the next queue.

Not significantly necessary, but it's probably a good idea that for every instance you have a gradient(such as eyes) you also include a block for the lightest and darkest parts of said gradients. Because when selecting the colour directly via an eyedropper tool, the gradient will make it so you're never getting the original two colours that make it up.

No need. I put the hex codes there for a reason.

 

 

I'm also thinking of seeing if I can make a more circular design. Like, all of the colors confined within a series of circles inside each other. Maybe the cutie mark could be on the inside

Yeah, of course there was no need for the specific colours to be there as you have all the hex codes there. It was more just a suggestion for making the overall piece look nicer.

I rather like the rectangles, although they're kinda hard to read from the side.

I'm not sure that a gradient with a block on each end would look nicer than just a gradient.

 

 

I rather like the rectangles, although they're kinda hard to read from the side.

Hence my idea to use circles instead. I could keep everything the right way up and keep the general size of the piece
