Does some of you remember this game?

What really surprised me was the silence around the game after the launch. No big Youtuber made a Let's play of it, almost no news, it's like the game went into oblivion.

But I should've expected that since Microsoft's decision to limit it to Windows 8.1 and Windows Store exclusivity didn't help.

I enjoy playing it from time to time, it IS free to play after all :D

The game still goes strong on the Xbox for what it's worth and there's regularly new levels being uploaded so it's not 'dead' but I don't think it was nearly as successful as anyone hoped x3

I remember it. I think it was because of how unorthodox it was that made it disappear. It may have been "to orirgnal" for people to handle.

I thought PS didn't sell well because it didn't support older Windows OS and the backlash they received over Conker's appearance as a DLC character, while many fans waited for an official game.

The 2D version of the content-creator genre, LittleBigPlanet, did sell great with more than 6 million copies.

You lucky bastard. But you have Windows 8.1 or newer anyway. I don't want to get rid of my Windows 7 since it works fine as it is.

Sour news for those who want to play it; Microsoft ended it's support for Project Spark and shut the game down. I'm afraid it will be stored in Microsoft's limbo, just like Fable.

Yup, the game is being shut down. :c Which, I guess I am both surprised and not surprised. The game had tons of potential, but I found the creation aspects to be very rough around the edges, but it could have been improved. Sad to see something so creative going into dust.

And it could've been improved, by the modding community. Microsoft should've made it compatible with Windows 7 and available on GOG and Steam, just like they did with Fable Anniversary. They're probably wont sell the IP and leave it in dust.
