Blitz glanced at Svarlet and raised an eye ridge, and couldn't help but smile. "Yeah. She is my sister, after all." He said, before glancing at the snake that was still behind the rocks. "Feel free to introduce yourself at any time."

 

Apep couldn't help but giggle slightly and glanced at Scarket. "So, how do you know my big brother?" She asked, somewhat curious. "You look like someone he would be interested in."

"Hey, if it keeps many men and some women off your back," Denise snickered, smirking at her friend, "Then sign me up, girl."

 

She showed off her sharp teeth. "I might be a twig but I've got a wicked bite. All the muscle's up in my face." She gave her jaws a snap for emphasis.

Mary blinked at her friend's ferocity. She really seemed like a tougher one than she thought. "Damn, girl. You look like you're ready to cut somebody. That sounds like a good plan, too. But for now, I think I'm happy with running the hardware store. I love building things.":

Kronos looked off into the horizon. He then pulled out his instrument case and took out an aucoustic guitar. He started strumming and playing and sang with an almost somber but silver voice:

I had been wandering around the beach, observing all I could that was going on. There was a purpose of course, I had been following a rat. And I found her. I snuck up behind her, trying my best to keep silent on the pebbles. Suddenly, I threw my arms around her from behind in a hug and said "Heya Denise."

But the people who contracted you did not pay enough to let you have a stable amount of funds for a while. I would like to hear some examples of what music you made sometimes. But you implied that your deployment here may have not been a permanent thing? I personally do hope it is, you're the first person in this town I've actually called a friend. I've only been living here for 4 months anyway, so I guess that's not a terrible thing. Besides, it does seem that for a long time you've not had a stable place to live, always moving about with the army and all. Maybe it will be nice for you to finally have a place you stay consistently."

Scarlet blushed lightly and felt a bit nervous. "He's the one who hired me to help him with the farm." She said. "If I knew you were his sister, I would've told you about that." The hawk didn't really know how to react to what was going on in front of her and felt a bit weird for having watched the two.

 

Nero sighed and slithered so that he was in front of the three. "My name is Nero." He said. "That flame you used was something else. Who are you?"

Life is...good so far. I've really been making progress with my work at the hardware store. And I had fun in the bikini contest. You?"

Apep nodded slightly and gave a slight smirk. "Don't worry. I was only messing with you." She said, before turning her attention to Blitz. "That being said, I need to go meet up with a friend, but I'll be sure to talk to you later." With that, the snake headed out of the cove and back to where Malfoy was.

 

Blitz sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose and felt his muscles relax. "Well, that went better than expected." He thought to himself., before glancing at Nero. "My name is Blitz."

Kerrigan had seen quite enough. The hostile display and threat posturing was almost textbook at this point. She walked towards Scarlet and the judge, when an all too familiar hissing noise reached her ears. She turned around, just in time to see ignition of what was, unmistakably, dragon fire. It was odd to be launched without being ignited, but there was no doubting its source.

 

Kerrigan suspected she knew whose it was- she had only ever encountered one other dragon in this town, after all. Still, it didn't seem to pose any kind of hazard, so there was no reason to get involved.

 

The looming conflict at the bikini contest, however, was irksome. Any further overt hostility and she would have to step in. There was a certain level of rebelliousness against authority that was acceptable among young people, but too much of it would be detrimental. Kerrigan took a deep breath and slowly exhaled, noting the tendrils of smoke that escaped her nostrils. She had no desire to quash the festivities, as it provided a socially acceptable and controlled setting in which to engage in frivolity. Still, any further tensions would have to be dealt with.

Savannah suddenly rushed over to Ocean, who had been startled by the dragon's fire. She chuckled and patted her friend on the back, then turned to look at the bunny judge again. She noticed that Kerrigan was still keeping a close eye on her. She muttered some rude things about the judge under her breath, rolling her eyes. "What a nice judge," she said sarcastically. "Ever so kind."

"Wh- oh," Ocean replied before realising that Savannah was kidding.

Suddenly, the bunny woman spoke over a loudspeaker to all the beachgoers. ​"The bikini contest results have been determined. All contestants line up for the outcomes if you wish to know whatever or not you have received an accolade from the judges."

"Woah, I better go," Savannah said. "Wish me luck!" She walked steadily over to go and line up with other contestants to receive her results. She crossed her fingers and looked back to see Ocean wave and give a thumbs up.

 

Ocean watched as Savannah headed over to get the bikini contest results. She hoped the best for her friend, although she wasn't one to care about losing that kind of thing. "If she does well..." she began. Then she altered her sentence. "She's self-confident enough already."

Gemma had joined the line of girls once the contest started, ignoring the vicious glares that some of them were giving her. She didn't care what they thought about her, she was here to have fun and that was that. Ignoring the contestants who were being openly hostile towards her, Gemma simply gave her sunniest smile to the judge and made sure that she was standing in a way as to show herself off in the best way. It seemed as tho a lot of the contestants were deadly serious, which was a shame, Gemma thought. Contests like this were only for fun, after all. Once it was over, she waited for the results, ready to clap and cheer the winners, even if no-one else did.

Apep was about to approach Malfoy when she overheard that the results of the bikini contest were released. She didn't know why she would've cared, but something in her just wanted to see if she did well at the very lest. The snake felt a bit anxious, though.

Nero was surprised to say the least when Blitz gave him his name, and simply nodded before heading back to the festival. If he could, he would attempt to talk to Apep and see if they could find some common ground.

 

Scarlet looked at her boss and simply crossed her arms. "Anyway, the results of the contest from earlier are probably going to be released soon." She said, before heading back as well. It didn't tak eher long to find where the results were and got in line.</p>

Malfoy's ears flicked as he heard the loud speaker but he was in the middle of eating a hamburger along with a side of fries so he chose to remain seated since he could hear the speakers from the stands and could probably catch the stage speakers as well with his sensitive hearing. As well it would be nice not having to force his way in and out of the crowds, if Gemma or Apep won he'd be sure to find them and congratulate them.

Blitz shrugged as he followed Scarlet back to the festival. He saw no point in staying in the cove any longer and if anything went south during the revelation of the results, he could intervene before anything got to out of hand. The dragon then couldn't help but look over the hawk's back as they walked and blushed lightly. Of course, he couldn't really follow her when she went to go receive her result, so he simply stood at the back of the massed crowd.
