Romance isn't very likely for any of the main cast. This show is about friendship - not romance. Even if there is a romance between any characters, it's either for a short time, or they're made to be together. Spike is unlikely to have another love interest, but then again, same goes for everyone that's not Rarity.

 

Although I'd love to see Spike get tired of her. Better to have no love-interest than a one-sided one that means nothing.
