Another mid season hiatus? What the hell is this, the walking dead?

Well I guess it's fine cuz it felt like virtually no time in between season 5 and 6.

 

Anyone remember how long last year's was? I remember it ending in September but I can't recall when it started.

There's an episode called "A Fault in our Cutie Marks" that's supposed to come out in a DVD that comes out in August, so hopefully not too long

I concur, and Big Jim seems to be hopeful this hiatus will be even shorter than the S5 mid-hiatus. I think "Fault..." may well be the next episode to air and it will probably come out the same week as the DVD. So with the DVD coming out on Aug 2nd, the hiatus could end as soon as Aug 6th.

It sucks that there won't be new episodes for a while, but I see why they're doing it. At least I can catch up on other shows and do some other stuff. I hope it comes back soon though.

Well, here starts the loooong (possibly) hiatus. What am I going to do all summer. ugh.

I guess I see why they're doing it, so I guess i'll be ok.

Well, i can watch the Euros in peace now, with the hiatus now being here.

 

If it starts in mid july again and only lasts for a month, i am happy.

I don't really mind these mid-season hiatuses since they're so much shorter. The huge hiatuses were ridiculous. My first major pony hiatus was the wait for season three, and those six months sometimes felt like forever since I was so very into the show then. For some reason that wait almost seems longer than the others, even though it was shorter.

 

I loved Spice Up Your Life and I think it was a great episode to end the first part of the season with. I have a feeling that the cutie map returning is going to affect what the rest of the season will be about. It may be part of the season finale too.

 

Also, I think season waits are more tolerable now that there are so many episodes. Back when there were only two seasons it could get hard to watch the same episodes over and over and over again. Season hiatuses can now be good for going back and rewatching the old ones and appreciating them. Earlier I watched a season one and a season two ep again, and it was a lot of fun.

I'm not really that annoyed. If it means less time between seasons, then I'm all for it
