Dusty relaxed his defensive stance; this cat seemed to be no threat to either himself or Jinx. "I do not doubt it," he replied. "The city is a fascinating place, it's no wonder that a cat who had never lived outside of the forest would be curious. What would you like to know?"

 

Jinx relaxed as well, her smooth soft fur slicking back down as she decided the lake cat would do no harm to her. She couldn't be too careful, after her ordeal earlier that day.

 

 

willowpaw was exited and relieved to see that this cat wasn't going to cause her problems but wanted to tell about the twolegs place. Her eyes got bigger and she tried to organise her thoughts before she started to ask questions. "Everything." she said exited "what does it look like there. What does it smell like? Are there really that many twolegs? And are the twolegs really that bad? Where did you live? Did you have a den there? And what are those monsters with twolegs in their stomach for?" she asked him but then stopped herself, she could've asked much more questions but these were already too much probably. Hopefully she looked at the cat while she waited for his answers.

 

Though, her questions made the kittypet tilt her head. What was this about 'monsters'?

 

Though, since Dusty was the expert on cities, she decided to sit and listen as well. Admittedly, she too was curious.

 

 

*Drags himself to the cat who was trying to nap*

"Your apprentice is a tough one training him to be a warrior by any chance"

*Licks the blood trickles from the wound that was causing a trail of blood behind him*

"There's a price that comes with being a warrior but I never thought losing my paw and being used by two legs was something I was a normal cat just moving around one day my paw was crushed by these fast objects that produced light I was in a small country by then I was still a kitten just you know visiting family after my paw was crushed the galley came out of the thing and put me in the back of it I couldn't fight back I was in shock I was later dragged into a white stone

Den it looked far different from the forest and caves later I found I wake up and my paw was gone in place was this thing"

*Shows him the handiwork of the two legs*

"Later after two days of moving this I was put in a trap thing with a doorway that opens and shuts after I went into another stone building and then I was asleep again randomly I woke up the new paw still there but it felt heavier so I tried to extend my claws it was not a good thing after that it fired out small pointed stick things so small but made me jump after that"

"Why am I telling you about the two legs and how I got this stupid thing"

Owlheart flicked his tail as the rogue continued to talk. Admittedly, after what he had done to him and the Clan, he wasn't too interested in what he had to say.

 

What he had struck him with though, was what bothered him. He walked up to the medicine cat and asked, "Do you have any idea what that rogue hit me with, Moonshine?"

Slumberfur looked at the rogue that were just arrived to Warriors' den and started by mentioning something about apprentice then started to ramble about it's life. He rolled his eyes and lowered his head back over his legs.

He didn't listen really that carefully but heard rogue mention something about white stone that sounded like one Twolegs place he was once. After rogue finished, Slumberfur without raising his head answered to the question.

"That's something I don't have answer for."

That was what Slumberfur wondered too, he didn't like this rogue and he hadn't been hiding it so that rogue should have known that. So why did this rogue came bother resting cat that didn't like him with his ramble. Especially when it seemed that he had by looks of it caused some kind of trouble while everyone were gone.

@@Wolves, Midnightstar began to speak. "As I mentioned before," she said, "There is sickness in Shadowclan, and I have this to say. Our medicine cat has been able to come up with a herb concoction which can keep death at bay, however, it will not cure the sickness completely. In order to gather enough herbs to make this remedy, it is necessary for our patrols to sometimes go into Thunderclan territory. I'm sure that Kitestar would not wish to anger Starclan by attacking Shadowclan warriors who are only trespassing in order that their fellow clan members be saved from death. I will also add that if anycat finds a cure for this sickness, it would look well on them if they were to share it."

"So I assume that is why you intended to meet me at the border?" Kitestar said. "Alright... you can collect herbs on our territory, but of course that is it; and your medicine cat wouldn't mind sharing the remedy to keep death at bay, surely? As aforementioned, Thunderclan is also struggling with the illness."

Kitestar was twitching her tail slightly, thinking about the rogue with a supposed cure back at camp. She would not tell any cat about him, especially considering that they did not even know if this elixir worked yet, and while they figured that out they would need some way to keep sick cats alive.

moonshine looked up to owlheart when he aske dher what the thing was the rogue hit him with. "As far as I can see it's a twoleg needle but I think you had figured that out yourself already." She said "But the rogue said that it would make you sick. I don't know how that work but better safe then sorry. you gotta take some of his cure and hope it works on cats as good as it worked on the bird." 

 

then, without any other word she bowed over and pulled quickly pulled out the needle. she hopped to her herb storage and brougth the cure they got from the rogue, aswell as dried oak leaves "here, take the rogues medicine." she said as she gave it to owlheart. then she chewed the oak leaves into a thick poultice and put it on the place where the needle had been. "this prevents infections from setting in, just in case." she said

Silverstar smirked, so Shadowclan were raiding Thunderclan for there herbs, well that was of course interested, maybe they even stretched there patrols so that they could keep a eye on Shadowclan. That's what she would do in Kitestar's position. She smirked a idea already forming in her brain, as she figured the pro's and cons of the plan. She nodded at the idea, "well as long as Kitestar agrees of course, though Starclan would approve of any clans help to another.

Silverstar let out a yawn as Kitestar agreed to the request, "well as long as Thunderclan doesn't trespass onto our territory, we would herb share, but we don't have much, also you don't have the knowledge of our own herb use, since the moors are different to you're forests. You're as likely to find a cure as a poison" she remarked. She glanced at the leaders getting up and stretching, itching for her nest.

"The city is bigger than anything you could ever imagine; far bigger than this forest. There are Twolegs everywhere; day and night, tho mostly during the day. The ones who are about at night are no trouble and don't even seem to see cats. The monsters are no trouble once you learn their habits. They stay on their trails and obey the coloured lights; when the lights go red, the monsters stop. I suppose the Twolegs give the monsters something in return for riding inside them but it's beyond my understanding. My den is under an oak tree in the centre of a stone-place. It used to be a fox den, but the foxes went away ages ago, and it's my den, now. The city might be full of Twolegs, but they're easy enough to avoid if I sleep in the day and go out at night. The smells would be difficult to bear if somecat from here went there, but I soon got used to them."

 

@@Wolves, "Of course," Midnightstar said. "In return, if any of your cats should find a cure, you should share that too. After all, at the end of the day, we are all cats. We should help each other if we need to; Starclan would approve."

Kitestar glanced around, then her gaze rested upon the Riverclan leader for the final word. He, too, looked from cat to cat, then claimed he had nothing of importance to announce save the fact that one apprentice had been given her warrior name. Kitestar nodded a silent congratulations, then looked to Midnightstar.

"I do think we are done here, yes," she said. Casting a glare back at Silverstar, and at the rogue, she added, "I'm surprised we made it through the whole gathering without clouds covering the shining of the full moon."

Kitestar hopped down from where she sat above the rest of the clan cats with the other three leaders, then rounded up her clan.

 

"Midnightstar, I assume we'll be taking the rogue - Omen - with us back to camp?" Twigblaze asked, approaching her leader and lowering her voice. "I do think we should keep a close eye on him..."

 

Moontail watched as the Riverclan cats all headed towards their leader, forming a group to head back to their camp. Craning her neck slightly to see over her shoulder, the Riverclan medicine cat swore she caught a glimpse of more than just Jinx the kittypet. Sighing, she hope they moved before the clans left, or they were likely to be spotted.

 

Almost mirroring Silverstar, a look of disdain at Thunderclan's agreement with Shadowclan adorned his face. But that was not any of Windclan's business, as it would not affect them in any way, he expected.

Keep an EYE on me, huh?

 

The moon reflected in his eyes, making them shine like two little fires. He smiled in a friendly way.

 

I'm the one who needs to keep eyes on you all. After all, I don't want to get ripped in pieces during a hunt by a fellow cat, supposedly in a "tragic accident, he couldn't handle a fox" thing. Besides, warriors and even apprentices could want to "show me my place". I don't want to hurt apprentices or inexperienced warriors while defending myself, and being accused of attacking. But I understand the concerns. You can't trust a complete stranger, can you? I suppose the fact I saved kittens from an owl won't change anything... Well, except for their mother of course.

 

He turned to Midnight star. 

 

Perhaps staying off camp for few days until the cats get used ti the idea would be wise but I am not entirely sure about that. And I would like to ask you about my name. I do agree to become an apprentice, but, this name I bear, was giving me by the ghost of my former teacher when he came to me in the Twoleg place. I would like to keep it, as a memory to him.

Moonshine turned her head when she heard the rogue. she looked at his paw and sighed "don't be such a whimp, it's only a small scratch." She said annoyed but jumped back anyway to come back with some cobweb. "clean the wound and press this against it. that should to it." she said as she gave him the cobweb

As silly as she thought some of the lake cat's questions were, Jinx was also curious. She knew about the lights, but she had never been to a city before. She had always stayed in her house up the river.

Owlheart nodded and, begrudgingly, accepted the rogue's medicine. He never trusted twoleg things, and this rogue's medicine didn't leave a good first impression. He was far more trusting of the oak leaves set into his wound by Moonshine - he trusted the medicine cat to know what she was doing.

 

 

Moonshine turned her head when she heard the rogue. she looked at his paw and sighed "don't be such a whimp, it's only a small scratch." He rolled his eyes at the rogue's pleading for more help. This cat really couldn't do anything by himself, could he?

She licked one paw before jumping down and flicking her tail summoning her own clan around her, she glanced around making sure that she had collected everyone, along with making sure no unwanted guests followed them. She slowly exited from the clearing, she passed the assembling Thunderclan cats and let out a low hiss at them spotting another kittypet joining there ranks. How many of them are there? she thought.

 

She then climbed over the tree-bridge and back towards there own camp. She paused occasionally to make sure they were not followed, and even backtracked several times. Happy that she and her clan-mates weren't being followed she made her way into the camp entrance though the gorse tunnel. She glanced around the clan and dismissed them before going over to her awaiting deputy, the border marking had gone well, and none of the clans had really worried about her missing deputy, they were more worried about kitty-pets and rouges. she let out a snort at the idea.

 

she then returned to her nest and fell asleep. She had great plans for the following day.

Darkfur moved back into the medicine cat's den and took the bed the nest he was originally in, trying his hardest not to lick his wounds, as to not upset the numbing agent coursing through most of his body.

 

He looked towards Moonshine and spoke in a tiered voice.

 

"When can I start fighting and training again?"

Slumberfur looked outside from Warriors' den as the rogue went back to Moonshine and got cobwebs for the wound that Darkfur had made, he rolled his eyes, what was deal with this rogue. 

He went back in and laid down thinking while waiting for rest of the clan come back from the gathering.

 

 

Meanwhile Darkpaw was already sleeping in apprentices' den, he had gone there straight after Slumberfur had dismissed him, he didn't see any reason to stay awake any longer this night.

Moontail walked over to the Riverclan leader as he called his cats together to go back to camp. She caught his hostile glance towards the Windclan leader before she took her leave first. By the way he stalked across the tree bridge from the island, the medicine cat could tell that he was not going to let the opposing clan claim the horseplace as their own territory as easily as he had let on during the course of the gathering. Nervously, she flicked her tail and followed him off the island, looking over to where she knew Jinx and several others were hiding from the view of other prying eyes.

"What are you looking at there, Moontail?" Moontail was startled slightly when her leader suddenly spoke to her after appearing by her side out of the blue.

"Nothing... Just thought I saw a mouse," the medicine cat replied.

"Why don't you go and catch it, then?" the leader tested her. "Technically speaking, it's on our territory."

"It ran away; I watched it," she gulped anxiously and prayed that the Riverclan leader hadn't caught sight or smell of Jinx and the others too.

 

Kitestar observed as Silverstar left with a glint in her eye, yowling to round up Thunderclan and heading towards the tree bridge. With a sudden pang of worry, she recalled how Darkfur left in a hurry without appearing to actually be injured, and wondered if Slumberfur was alright. She silently hoped that the rogue hadn't hurt any of her clan while several of them were away.

 

Featherfur followed Silverstar hurriedly, calling to Lavenderpaw and watching her over his shoulder as she carefully picked her way back across the fallen tree after him. Once she was across, he bounded ahead into the night.

Entering the camp, Featherfur muttered 'goodnight' to Silverstar and awaited Lavenderpaw's return. She soon arrived and padded over to him, excited to discover what they would be learning tomorrow.

"Like I promised, I'll be teaching you how to hunt birds," Featherfur assured her. "You'll be catching an abundance of sparrows in no time."

Silverstar let out a yawn as she woke up, she glanced outside and grumbled seeing the sun beginning to rise, she was meant to be on the sun high patrol so she could sleep a little longer. She rolled over into her nest and fell back asleep again, she figited in her sleep slightly, she slowly rolled back over and woke herself up, she let out a grumble, she glanced outside her den again and blinked, it was way past sun-high. She rolled her eyes and snorted, so much for a light sleep.

 

She trotted outside her den and over to the clearing, obviously the patrol had left, so she sat by the fresh kill pile and took her own share, she was the leader after all. While she ate she contemplated the night before event. Nothing must have happened over the riverclan - windclan border otherwise she would have been woken up by the clan. She instead glanced around at a few warriors, deciding that she might take a patrol out on a material finding mission.

 

She got up and groomed herself, though not quite yet, the cover of darkness would help her and her clan-mates. Since she knew Thunderclan was busy watching Shadowclan cats within there territory, her small patrol along the outskirts wouldn't cause to much trouble. She glanced at the fresh kill pile, maybe they could hunt on Thunderclan, though after they had gathered enough materials first.

 

She smirked confident that Thunderclan wouldn't fight for some twigs and sticks.

"I remember the life now where you didn't have to do much I miss ya pal I'm here now it's a place I can finally move I got the cure and recipe it's all I got left from you"

I don't think anything is going to happen but leave the oakleaves on the wound tonight, just in case. you can rub them off tomorrow." she said to the cat. then she looked at the weird rogue, she didn't trust him for one bit and she didn't understand him at all, why did he come here and why did he help them? 

 

then darkfur walked into her den and layed down. when he asked when he could train again moonshine blinked her eyes "It depends but I think you can go hunt and do your warior tasks tomorrow again. the wounds will still hurt for a while but they won't do much harm anymore." She said and then she yawned. seeing the other wariors all getting ready for the night made her tired too. she never had such a busy day before. tired she curled up into her nest and almost inmediately fell asleep.

The senior warrior hadn't forgotten the disdainful look on his leader's face when he was talking to Twigblaze, and he wanted to get some answers.

Checking that every cat she had brought with her to the gathering was following her back across Thunderclan territory to the camp, Kitestar anxiously bounded forward. Maybe she was overthinking it, but that rogue may have done some damage and she was praying that everything was still under control.

Entering the camp with a nervous gait, the Thunderclan leader glanced around to see that things seemed alright. Hesitantly, she breathed a sigh of relief at noticing just a shaken up apprentice and two sleepy warriors. Something had gone wrong - she could sense it - but everyone was okay. The first thing Kitestar did was head over to the medicine cat den. She soon noticed that Moonshine was asleep, however, and so glanced back at Owlheart, who was in the clearing.

Kitestar spotted Slumberfur over by the Warriors' den, and walked over to him to ask him about earlier.

"Slumberfur! First and foremost, are you alright after that strange passing out?" she began, stopping next to the warrior. "What happened? That was very unusual."
