The whole idea of turning MLP into yet ANOTHER live action/CGI New York City-we have to get back home type movie is just ludicrous!Not to mention Sony's marketing is terrible! Whether or not they did, I am happy that Hasbro is staying far away from them. Sony just doesn't have a good track record with films these days and the MLP movie would have been doomed from that point. Sony worked with Hasbro initially as the distributor. Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's info about that around. But it was clear that Sony wanted creative meddling in the project. Plus their label has screwed so many artists over, one band (Wheatus) named their second album "Suck Fony" (really, they did). But yeah, good riddance to Sony being involved.
