What is the thing you consider most annoying about TV shows? My three most annoying things are: Seasons with continuity. If I wanted a big-deep story, I would go watch a 2-hour movie. When I watch TV, I want to watch short, 20-minute bursts of entertainment. Second is when lots of things change in the show between the seasons. In the last episode of the season, everything's normal, nothing special. Then when the next season starts, two of the characters got married and had kids! If you want to tell a proper story, don't leave the viewer out of that important time. That's just bad writing. And finally, I hate it when a show spends the entire episode setting up a character as an antagonist, then at the end, tries to have an emotional "moment" where we're supposed to feel bad for the character. I'm sorry, you just spent the last 20 minutes making me want to murder this character with a chainsaw, and now we're supposed to emotionally connect with the character?

And yet there's no commercials when I have to go. My bladder is full but the show is being fantastic and everything.

 

About the shows themselves, I often found that it's much better to watch everything in Youtube. No commercials and you can pause it!

Oh...Oh I could go on for HOURS on this...I will narrow it down to my two pet peeve's.

 

A network canceling a good show just when it was getting good. Cartoon Network and Disney are guilty of this. Seriously would it kill them to keep Young Justice airing decently!? Or is the generation down from the targeted TEEN audience full of sissies who can't even watch soccer without peeing their pants!?

 

And WHY IS EVERY SHOW ON NICK AND DISNEY AND CARTOON NETWORK A SITCOM!? They're not funny anymore! And no one likes when all the characters are dislikable idiots!

 

I HATE hate HATE it when the characters are so dislikable and the concept is so unlikable that you just wanna shriek!

Alright I'm gonna say it.

 

WOULD IT KILL COMCAST TO PUT ANIME SHOWING CHANNELS!? SERIOUSLY!? I am SICK of only Funimation being On Demand then being given some bullcrappy excuse of why they won't give us the damn Funimation channel.

 

And more medical shows. Seriously those are at least INTERESTING.

For me it's that most of the good/funny shows just stop at around 17:00, after that it's Csi and bones. I'm not fond of any other criminal-series than Hercule Poirot, more so because of the man, than anything else

I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE pretty much everything on TV nowadays. The only decent/amazing things on TV in my opinion are MLP of course, Regular Show, and Adventure Time. Everything else is extremely mediocre sitcoms and cartoons. Oh and of course the craptastic MTV reality show stuff. It's terribly horrible and horribly terrible. Ugh.

Except for Scrubs. That show should stay as far away from the airwaves as possible.

That's the reason that I hate Scrubs so much. (Now I guess there are 4 things I hate.) The characters get themselves into bad situations because they're a bunch of douchebags and colossal idiots, and then we're supposed to empathize with them! Good writing makes it so that even a jerk can be a likable character. Like Malcolm from Malcolm in the Middle. He's a self-centered jerkwad who doesn't care how anyone else feels, but we can empathize with him and feel for him, because we're all like that to some degree. And he's just a kid who doesn't really know any better. JD from Scrubs, on the other hand, is pretty much the same way, but instead of being a kid, he's an adult. He shouldn't behave like a little kid. The writers they got for Scrubs were just bad.

I really hate this stupid show called My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic. I mean grown men watch this. GROWN MEN.

I hate the spin-offs that Pawn Stars created and I don't just mean those by the History Channel. Hell, why do they think people want to watch 20+ plus shows dealing with items.

I don't really like when sitcoms do that, but I enjoy some continuity in my anime.

 

I normally don't really care about adverts on TV, but I occasionally wish they could at least get different ones, since it gets a bit boring watching the same handsome man try to sell me dish soap every five minutes.

 

Other than that, I don't really hate anything about it. Maybe it's because I usually only turn on my TV for something to stare at while I write show notes.

I dont like how most shows at this time are getting dummer and dummer, like the shows on CN. I also hate commercials and re-runs, I guess thats why I use Netfix more often. The only shows I realy watch are of course MLP, The walking Dead, Top Shot, and thats about it really.

Someone hasn't had to wait for a commercial to end before watching YouTube videos.
