Season 6 Episode 24 Already On Youtube

Three things S6 has fucked up hard with: Rainbow Dash, Twilight, and the Wonderbolts. All thrown into one episode

This episode actually does them fucking justice thank god. New characters are great, Twilight and Dash are still great together, Wonderbolts aren't huge cunts for a change.

Only thing I can see breaking the episode is Sky Stinger, as he spends the first half of the episode being an unlikable chode

But otherwise....I really needed this episode...

Yeah as someone who doesn't particularly enjoy the Wonderbolts episodes himself, this was pretty watchable.

And thankfully, my initial dislike for Stinger died down over the course of the episode.

I could've sworn Sky and Vapor were about to kiss each other at the end of their final tryout.

THEY SHOULD'VE! This was a blatant love story about two pegasi discovering their true feelings and support for one another.

I could sense the inner shipping of this episode, it was so there lol. I smelled a love story underneath it all.

Lol, was there even a resolution about how they resolved their differences? Get over it, you two can benefit from each other if you simply try again.  Not going to harp on the rather skimped resolved differences, since it's not the first time the series has done it before. Was a decently entertaining episode overall.

Decent episode, but not something I'll be watching again soon, I like it, but there's one thing about it that really bothers me and sadly I can't ignore it

I have a problem with the concept of this episode, and I also kind of had that problem with the last one, but in this case it actually bothers me. This episode misses the point of the map, the map doesn't just call to solve one small friendship problem, it's solving that friendship problem what inspires other ponies to follow the example of the mane 6, which leads to an improvement in a community. In the former map episode AJ and Fluttershy didn't exactly "inspire" anyone, they just solved the problems they encountered, but at least they solved multiple problems and what they did will have a positive impact on the life of more than two ponies. In this episode though, Twilight and RD simply solved a problem of lack of communication between two friends, and that's it. I liked how they did it, don't get me wrong, I just feel a little disappointed because that's what makes the map episodes special to me, and this episode didn't really feel worthy of being a map episode.

About the episode, I did like it despite the problem I have with it. I liked the conflict, the resolution, and how they got there. I specially liked seeing how both Twilight and Dash had a totally different idea of how to solve the problem but the episode didn't put one in the right and the other one in the wrong. That's actually a problem map episodes usually have, and surprisingly neither this episode nor the last one had it. Stinger was extremely unlikable in the beginning and he didn't have any charm to him or anything to make up for it, but he got redeemed in the end. On the other hand Vapor was really adorable and likable, and I also liked her backstory, I think I relate to her a little bit.

All of season 6 is available two weeks before the finale even airs in the USA... so, thanks UK for not giving a damn? Idk   I got the movie, two new normal episodes and the finale in less than a week, that's too much ponies even for me

The episode in a nutshell: Every single Annoying carry in DOTA EVER who thinks they're hotshit just because they have a super skilled support following them around 24/7 :P

But  a really good episode non-theless. Dash was incredible and adorable in her scenes (reminded me of testing testing 123 in the classroom scene), twilight was good, and Vapor trail was endearing. Sky stinger was even more douchy than Zephyr, but at least his interactions with Vapor tempered this a bit. Hell, even Spitfire was good!

That being said, Spitfire is still pretty clueless honestly when Twilight, not even a great flyer, notices STRAIGHT off the bat that vapor is essentially cheating for Sky stinger despite being pretty blatant about it :P

Like, Dash seeing it and not spitfire I could chalk up to dash being a prodigy and savant at noticing stuff while flying, but Twilight noticing it when Spitfire has been doing this ALL HER LIFE kind of throws up redflags about the competency of the head wonderbolt :P

On a final note: Loved the "So I can become the princess of flying?" line

Once again, fairly solid episode. Loved the comedy (Spitfire's "I love my job" line and Dash falling asleep during class made me laugh pretty damn hard) and the new characters that were introduced. Vapor Trail was adorable as hell. I need extra cute fanart of her within the next 24 hours. I NEED IT.

The ending gag and the resolution to the conflict weren't very satisfying to me, however. The former felt forced and cliche while the latter felt too fast and easy.

The shippers are going to have a field day with this episode.

I liked it a lot.

The new characters were great and the problems felt both real and relatable. I got a nice laugh out of RD falling asleep in class as well as the ending itself. I think it might have been kind of interesting to make it as much a wonderbolt problem as much a friendship problem as well.

Also as has been mentioned I can sense the love stories already being written. I hope to see more of these characters. If they had aired the episodes in order I could easily have imagined them being in the finale as part of the rescue team.

Maybe the staff will look at this episode and stranger than fan fiction and then compare it to how newbie dash and 28 pranks later were recieved, and realize that not dumping on dash to be lazy for the plot generally produces a stronger, more well liked episode than resorting to that :P

I very much enjoyed this episode, one of the best this season.

Well if I wanted to really analyze it even the low confidence of one person can effect a whole family, and then it could spread, this could be more of a preventative issue, and imagine if the friendship problem did get out of control due to grudges and lost love. Putting strain on families during difficult times could put drama into a whole community, then they'd have more than one friendship problem to resolve as it branches out.

The first one was Steller Eclipse way back in the episode "Trade Ya".

And now we have a new one in the form of Angel Wings.

Great episode IMO.

I liked the interactions between Twilight and Dashie, and I loved how she fell asleep in Twilight's class. I also loved the manic grin Twilight had when Vapor Trail told Sky Stinger the truth. I have my question marks regarding Spitfire, though. Dashie noticed right away that Vapor was helping Sky. Twilight saw it after Dashie pointed it out, but Spitfire, being a drill instructor, should have seen this right from the start. It's a bit odd she didn't pick up on this immediately. Still, yet another good episode for this season, continuing the trend of the past four or so episodes.

It can, but the point is that we should get to see it or at least it should be mentioned. Right now my opinion of this episode is a little better, but the premise still keeps me from fully enjoying it as much as I should, because there is actually a lot to like about this episode.

Well I haven't seen the episode yet, and seeing how I can see it legally tomorrow, I don't plan on watching it online, it still is nice to know that it is at least a step up from some of the other episodes we have gotten this season.

I must say, I wish the writers would take a note from this one on how to write good dash episodes, because its one of the better dash ones this season. (Though, I find dash's proposed "Solution" poor since it has ZERO merit; twilight's solution was the 100% correct one, so there wasn't the usual "compromise between the two of the mane six sent on the mission" things that normally occur).

I have to say, Dash and twilight really have some super chemistry; its sad to compare Twilight and fluttershy's chemistry from the last map episode of twilight's, because it seems like, apart from dash and twilight or AJ and twilight, twilight has some weak chemistry with the others in the group :(

I'll need to re-watch the episode tomorrow anyway. I need to know the names of those who voiced the three new characters. It's been bugging me since it was aired early in the U.K.

I'll need to rewatch it just to see it in HD; the stream was super shitty quality :(

Oh yeah. I forgot that the version from Tiny Pop was in poor quality, and combined with how lacklustre Dailymotion can be, it makes sense to want to experience the episode as intended. You gave me another reason to re-watch Top Bolt.
