"Man, I really hate lemons. That's why I eat these lime fruits every morning". No offense but that comment is kind of contradictory, lol.

You won't believe how tasty those lime fruits are after those nasty lemons i ate so much. Because it's new!

So on top of this game being the usual copy and paste trash, even moreso this time around and having a $50 season pass with microtransactions, apparently, these microtransactions are now a pay to win system. Not kidding. This apparently is real. Activision just keeps hitting new lows.

According to this post on Reddit, weapon skins now alter the stats of your guns. They can make your guns better! And guess what? The best skins in the game are locked behind paywalls and micro-transactions, meaning that those who shell out the extra money will now have better weapons than everyone else. Fantastic! Wonderful! Thanks Activision! As if this already dying series needed bullshit like this! Apparently reviewers are not mentioning this at all either for some reason. I guess Activision's money is still strong. It is amazing how much Activision does with this series that purely exists to screw gamers over and yet people will still support it.

Here is the post: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/5b313w/cod_iw_can_we_discuss_the_fact_that_major_review/

Somehow I was shocked by this, I really shouldn't expect anything less from Activision.

Did you actually read the redditor's source though? It's not exclusive to those who spend money on the game. You can get the camos by purchasing them with an in-game currency that players can earn by doing well in the game and completing missions. If you are lazy or just not good enough to work your way up there, you can also buy the currency for real money.

I don't understand why you're acting like this is something new, this is like every game ever. I could list over 100 games that do this. Card games like Hearthstone use the same system. You can get in-game cash if you do really well and play a lot, but there's also an option to buy packs.

That being said, I do think that it's dumb. Imo, you should never be able to pay for such things because you're lazy. The game would be more fun if it only was available through dedication and not a huge wallet.

That is a card game. And isn't Hearthstone a Free to Play game or at the very least, super cheap to buy? This is a $60 game with a $50 season pass that gets released EVERY YEAR that has a pay 2 win system. Oh yeah, and all of this for a game series that STILL does not have dedicated servers. People NEED to be calling out Activision for this bullshit. No other game is doing all of this horrendous nonsense at once. Some games might have some flawed systems, but COD now does pretty much every bad and greedy thing in the book even though it is insanely profitable. Activision absolutely sucks and I wish they would just vanish. That is not even mentioning how the multiplayer is just a giant copy and paste of Black Ops 3 with a slightly different paint job.

It was just an example, there's many other games with the same system that costs money. World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls Online, Lord of the Rings Online, World of Tanks apparently wot is free to play now but you get my point.

Actually zombies map isn't locked behind pre-order. And they've never said that it will be boots on ground gameplay, they've already confirmed it in the end of May that it will pretty much have the same movement of black ops 3. Actually, it was their only chance to lock MWR behind IW, mainly because:

  • They must have 1 new game every year.
  • Infinite Warfare sales would drop down.
  • MWR is just a bonus for the people who buy the Season Pass, aka Digital Deluxe Edition.
  • They've been kind and even gave people the choice to buy it without buying Season Pass.

The fans trolled the devs so hard in every year. They never get satisified by every thing. Fans in 2013: "This is stupid, same thing every year, and literally copy-paste. Quit this reskining fest, we want something new. Fans in 2016: "This is stupid, COD has changed too much. This isn't COD anymore, we want old COD back!". Good job trolling the devs that things aren't going their way. Well guess why these fans are so impudent and finical, it's because the devs treated them kindly every year and made everything that the fans desired. It will be the same every time, even if a WW2 game comes out, ppl will still find something to shout for: "Wow look at this, we used to be flying spaceships...what is this retarded donkey riding idiocity? Freaking panzers??!!!". As always.

COD is a game, that makes you don't give a damn about the setting. Fans forget that it's not COD's original setting cuz COD decorates the setting, which makes the setting feel more fun, and feel a basic COD gameplay. That's why COD sometimes can spoil video game tastes for certain people. People can see IW, like it, play it and become a fanboy of futuristic setting. "Wow, you can do dogfighting and stuff, grapple...but...I like future games now right? How come I can't feel like playing any other futuristic games now? I feel the absence of the features and aspects that COD brought with it to the future setting..."

So I'd like to address to people...

Guys...you can't decide what's COD's true and original setting, you can say it's ww2, but modern setting became a very popular setting for COD, you can't say modern either cuz it used to be a ww2 game, and people started to complain about it being a copy-paste and modern setting being too much. And now future, and you still hate, they tried to innovate the gameplay and setting just cuz you asked so, cuz you complained about it being same every year, and now you turn and say "Meh, it isnt COD anymore. We want old COD back". And to be honest, no fan asked BF to go to ww1. The fans just sit and watch how the devs push theirs. But in COD, fans became very impudent and fastidious, which was caused by the devs listening to every fan, and let the fans to pull the franchise, and they pulled it to this...

That's where generosity gets blamed...

One guy could shout "I want COD to be out of milky way galaxy!!!" and the next year, COD releases an Infinite Warfare 4, fighting with Aliens.

That's how I backed up the fact that devs aren't to blame to...

Now I want to back up my opinion.

I honestly start to love every setting and theme that COD takes itself to, I hated space themed stuff, but when IW trailer was released, now I praise it. I even hated modern stuff, i mostly liked ww2 back ago. COD revolutionized the setting, and my interests got revolutionized as well. And I lost my tastes about video game genres too, mainly because COD steals it. How? COD has unique aspects and gameplay mechanics, which the devs bring to every title but with setting and theme changes...but the settings and themes don't mean anything, especially in COD, COD is special with its gameplay. So everytime I try to find a game that is similiar to a specific COD title, I fail. I do find futuristic, modern or ww2 games (based on the COD title), but I still feel the absence of COD's mechanics, gameplay, aspects, features and techniques. That's why I stick to COD.

So it pretty much sums it up. After all that, it's obvious that Activision would do that just to make the spoiled fans suffer and have a taste of their own medicine.

I support this game in anyway I can, and even if I get bored from this, and move on, I will always remember how this game shined for me. After all the defense I've done for this game in the internet, talked with retarded people and all that......I think it would be wrong to stand aside. No matter what happens, November 4th  will be my best day of this year.

#InfiniteWarfareHype

I'm not in the mood to deal with this entire post or even trim it down for space, but this doesn't take a genius to figure out. First of all, fans generally weren't the ones complaining about the series being yearly rehashes of the same game. If you couldn't see the mechanical differences between MW1 through Black Ops then odds are you didn't play the series much to begin with

Second, change is a very general term and also encompasses negative, and the GODAWFUL NEW ENGINE THAT ENSURES A SLEW OF TECHNICAL ISSUES FOR EVERY NEW GAME IN THE SERIES CERTAINLY COUNTS AS A NEGATIVE (and the movement system for some, which so far is starting to make the series feel more like a rehash than MW3)

I myself like black ops 3, poor optimization aside, but it's not hard to see that it isn't the change everyone wanted and that Treyarch needs to cut the futuristic combat gimmick and and better optimize that engine to get CoD back on its feet

One huge issue with this. THOSE ARE MMO's. MMO's are constantly evolving, and constantly being supported. And usually, PVP in these types of games actually negate any advantages your gear would give you, making it so your gear is mostly for PvE. Call of Duty? An annually released $60 with a $50 season pass. Every. Single. Year. And they can't even muster up dedicated servers despite making their micro-transaction worse than it has ever been with Infinite Warfare? Fuck them and fuck that.

I will say it as many times as it takes to make people realize the bullshit they are supporting. Normally, if there is a game I just do not like, I let it be, I let others enjoy it, I don't care about that. This is far beyond that at this point. This is pure greed with very little quality or actual care for gamers or gaming as a whole. Activision just views it as a giant money pool and us as walking dollar bills. Sure, many other companies might only jsut want our money too, but at least they provide us with games that are actually good and push the industry in a good direction. Activision is entirely anti-consumer and the sooner people realize this, the better gaming will be.

To be honest it looks stupid. For me it's just to futuristic. My god the trailer I saw for it had them go into space. They fight in outer F'n space now. Don't get me wrong I don't hate it because it's futuristic. I loved the MW series and BO2. They both took place in the future but they were still down to Earth you know. IW however is just to out there.

I've actually played all COD campaign except from WAW, but the multplayers were only from BO2-IW so yeah I know about the mechanics. They are just in the same time setting, there couldn't be any difference. And why the heck did they go to future? It's because Bo2 was the first ever futuristic COD and it became the most successful COD to date. Also, Infinite Warfare is released, and as I see it has better optimization than bo3.

I'm surprised to hear so many mentions about Activision regarding IW. Just throw them up, and enjoy what you want. You don't want the skins, don't buy it. You do? Then they offer a chance so you could do that. Also I don't care how much money they have, and it's absolutely rediculous to look at others' wallets...

Funny thing is that I've played the game and completely forgot about bo3 while doing it. It's completely NOTHING similiar to bo3 in terms of feeling. I wouldn't want a video game company to vanish just because they have more money than me.

true, but you haven't even tried the campaign yet. And boy, I've just finished it and I realize that the space setting suits to COD so much and don't want to go back to it's roots. See? Everything is relied on gaming elements, mechanics and plot. We don't care about time setting or it's skin.

Playing the campaign so far, I'd say it's a massive improvement over Infinity Ward's last game, Ghosts, I really like the characters so far.

Haven't tried multiplayer, but from what I've heard it leaves something to be desired compared to the other big shooters, complete opposite of what I heard for its campaign(which is considered the best within recent memory)

Again, there is no need to envy Activision for their good money making. Infinite Warfare is very special and new to the COD franchise, they introduced hip fire while cooking a grenade, gesturing in-game, Salvage points, and Payloads and Traits for Combat Rigs. I've never seen that you could crush the ground while pressing the melee button from the air because you have a perk like that in any COD...or..or being able to look around, gesturing, and keeping the payloads when being killed after seconds of it being activated. Guess what...IW has done great job with levolution, mechanics, details, and elements. We do not friggin' care:

  • How the publisher profits
  • If there are paid options to win
  • If they are making fun of us
  • Why they are making it every year

Like it? Buy it. Not? Don't. All we do is care about our own lives, we don't envy anyone, nor pay attention to judge something that we don't like and need to ignore.

I'm just going to leave this right here.

Destroying the user base....I'm shocked.

The campaign is pretty good. The multiplayer though, is pretty mediocre. I think it's because the maps are so small.

Ghosts feedback worked XD

It got massive negative feedback due to it being food for campers.

That just means you gotta git gud.

Speaking of Ghosts, I hope they add infected mode to IW.

I really enjoyed the story too. After all the hate back then(What seems to be mostly on the MP) I kindawas worried, but I enjoyed the previous games too, so I still buyed it, of course with MW1 Remastered too. And I was surprised myself about the story, wanted to know how it ends and even tough it's new but still COD, it did 2 things different then any COD before I think, nothing major, just rather surprising(Spoiler cause spoiler)

1.Villain death:

Almost all COD's have a villain you usually kill at the end and then mostly just short cutcene or escape scene, done. IW was already changing that thing with Ghosts(The main bad guy surviving) and IW does another different. Yes, we do kill the bad guy ... but there are still like 2 whole more missions after that.

2.Main Character deaths:

This is not entirely new to an extend, because good characters survive always or mostly. That even a character we play die(Jackson, Roach etc.) is not new either. BUT I neve even saw one COD game where ALL playable main characters die in a game. Even tough we only play one dude in mission 1 and the rest with Reyes, both are characters we play when they die.

Legends never die. Ponies neither.

Oh, apparently it was in today's update. Sweet!

I pretty much played that exclusively in Ghosts.

Do you have IW? If so maybe we can add each other? :)

I can’t stand any Call Of Duty game.

I think they’re overrated.
