Help with world building (fanfic summary)

Either way, we need help.

 

Right now, a friend and I are working on an epic-length fanfic entitled The Storm Breed. It's going to expand on Celestia and Luna's pasts and origins, eventually expanding on various cultures and societies outside of Equestria. As such, we need someone knowledgeable on the universe, just to keep an eye on us to make sure we don't goof on some details.

 

Of course, I can't divulge a lot of information openly, so anyone interested will have to message me. Just a warning: it is dark and has its fair share of sad moments, so anyone who does not like--or does not wish to work with--those categories should steer well clear.

 

We're hoping to get a few artists on-board later. Possibly someone to create a map, too. That will be later on, though, as we're still just coming up with plot elements to see what sticks.

 

Trust is key, if you do wish to work with us. We don't want anyone leaking anything.

A short summary:

They appeared and vanquished a great evil. They ruled with resolute strength and boundless mercy. For centuries they kept us safe and free; kept whatever bleak dark that lay beyond our borders at bay.

 

But some shadows are cast too long to escape.

 

There are gaps in history; secrets kept guarded and blank spaces on the map.

 

Now their past closes in around them, threatening all they know and love, and when it finally grasps them by the throat, the very foundations of Equestria will fall asunder--as the storm breed draws ever nearer.

 

The Storm Breed fills in some gaps in Equestria's history, including the origins of Luna and Celestia. This story expands on the world outside of Equestria, introducing a rival kingdom ruled by the sisters' brother. There will be original characters, but these are not RP characters, nor will they be the central focus of the story, as it will be written from various perspectives.
