Lyra Plush's eye is pealing off (Please help!)

It's her left eye and I just noticed it a few minutes ago. I thought it was a piece of hair or something, but it was actually her eye. I just got her for Christmas today and I have 7 other plushies by funrise and Lyra is the first one to mess up on me. I don't know what I did or how I can prevent this from continuing, or if I should just get another plush instead.

Is there any solutions to what I can do? The entire middle white part is gone and it's beginning to go into the blackoutline.

I do sometimes cuddle my plushes, so should this be one that should be left on the shelf?

I actually have this happening to my Luna, Celestia, and Cadance Funrise toys that I got from Amazon. What I did to prevent it from happening any further was by rubbing white school glue over the eyes as like a layer of protection so it wont flake off anymore. I made the mistake of putting clear coat for nails over Celestias eyes first and it ended up cracking and making me mad and I switched to school glue. But I'm afraid that there is nothing you could do to erase or fix the damage to the eyes already besides buying a new one. Just don't rub the eyes to harshly or have any rough contact with the eyes anymore. It stinks I know. Just rub both eyes down with your finger with school glue on it and let it dry. Best of luck to you.

Can you give me a link to the type of glue you are talking about here or in a private message? :)

And I'm also wondering if clear-glue would be better (as Lyra's eyes are golden. The colored parts are good. It's just the black and the white areas.)

Also, I used a thin-point sharpie to fill in the areas where there is supposed to be black.

And I hope I am able to stop her eye from pealing. :(

Also, the center part of her pupil (the white portion) is completely gone, and I carefully removed the flakey bits using my finger nails. I looked at her eye again a couple days ago and the same thing was happening.

It appears to peal and then roll up for no reason.

if its coming off cant you just put the glue behind the eye? Maybe clear glue would be better. But be careful because it will matt the fur and not look very good potentially

I'm confused what you are dealing with here. Equestrian there suggested a coating, Trademark2 suggested gluing it on. Could you post a picture of what is happening so you can get accurate help? I make plushies sometimes, so I might be able to assist.

I do not know of a good image-hosting website. And MLPForums won't accept Google's image format (as I uploaded it to my Drive.)
