How Alive is Our Fandom still?

I know I will get mixed replies for this,(if any) and that I am ready for. I know the typical response would be, "well if you consider this your fandom, where have you been"? or something along those lines, a lot of other people will say alternatively like everything else it is at a decline. but here is what I wanted to say and or add to this, I consistently return to MLP because it is a positive thing, its a chance to do positive things, and ultimately the show still changed my life, at least indefinitley changed the gear at which it was running, so to speak. I just want to know how many people still really indulge the content, want to meet more people that do and have, and that really just want to make good of what they have seen or feel. Me I swear like moth to a flame trouble or conflict always seems to attract itself to me or vice versa. This is one place where even if few, I had found some. Me I dont want this to be scroll on material, really just want to know how you still feel about this fandom. I thought to myself there is definitley more here, there is definitely a reason I found it, and then made the trip to those conventions and what not. Me another thing happens to ironically attract me is this show, so I take that with what I will and kind of just continue looking for good people.

I feel like this fandom is very much alive. The issue with all fandoms is that there's always a peak and everything after that feels like a decline, even though there's still plenty of activity. The fandom will always be active with major events like BronyCon. And even when the show ends, the amount of content creators will keep MLP alive for quite some time.

This is also intended to mean in the same nature of how active people are with each other, and not as much "just" the consumerist values or aspects of it. Me I would have no doubts that those events would live on for years, and people would make content for each other for years, and I feel as if I will always some how find a way to gravitate to Bronycon, as it is just as much something that I love doing as in the same vein as my general interest in the show. I just like, I guess my problem has been connecting over the material I love, as much as other people have, I mean when I first joined it was a little different, many people become more "casual" about their obsession with the show needless to say. I just kind of wanted to bring it back how it was in 2013, and when it seemed the fandom was very active, and I was in a skype night and everything. I mean I miss those positive aspects of it, and this show is honestly something I could talk about for days, I guess its more or less the bravery of myself being one to start and carry conversation.

I myself have never left the fandom and never intend to partially because of my loyalty to it and also because I have never gotten bored of it there is so much to do here on this site alone and much more in the fandom itself and there will always be more added with time

This forum is probably the most active one of all the forums I've used, so just by looking at that I could say the fandom is very much alive. There are also new people arriving here all the time so that could also mean something. Maybe the fandom isn't as active as it used to be some years ago, but I can't see it quieting down any time soon either.

I dont feel any differently than you do. I am very loyal to the way this show makes me feel, all of the positive things it has done for me in my life, the equestria girls series. I mean, honestly. I love My Little Pony, not just a little bit, but a lot. like a lot a lot. Or I wouldnt make the trips attempt to become community involved, join the groups. I am at to which points about the indifference, My Little Pony is always going to be one of my favorite things, the music, I ride around and listen to the tracks on CD, I have seen the episodes and movies more times than I could ever begin to count. I made more mistakes unfortunately, and I continued in ways I well should have been above (to a certain degree) (but this is a side note) What I was saying is, I guess I mean, if it comes to just talking about your favorite episode and what it means to you, or how you connect to your favorite character. Me I just feel on the outside of conversation, I know I am very self included in this fandom, and always will be, but I want to do more, and I want to take the things I should have been running with and like, to a higher degree of seriousness. (this fandom, very included)

The fandom is still pretty active given how many different fan projects have been popping up in recent months. I'll admit that it isn't as active as it was say back in 2011-2012, but it's better than the alternative which would be a massive drop until only the most diehard of fans were left. I think the fandom has reached a stable footing that will see people coming and going but not on a large scale, and will continue on this path for quite some time.

The fandom has reached the pits of Melancholia during the Second Hiatus, Anger during Twilicorn and Jealousy, developing a complete identity and finially realized it's place ithin the internet after Season 5.

If Halo is right we should be entering Metastability, the final stage, where the fandom is truly complete and stable.

I dont know how much truth there is to this theory, but it is interesting to think about. Think the best thing is, just trying to relate to people that got an indifference to things that other people enjoy. Fandom is pretty diverse, but there is a common  ground. Like there are characters I love absolutely that other people absolutely refuse to ever give a chance. Difference in opinion on how characters should be presented or represented that is, or directions that should be taken with the series/franchise. I have a lot more I could say, but you get the just of where I am going with this.

It was a reference. http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Rampancy

Yeah. The characters in MLP are awesome but it's sad that people are getting turned off to it without even watching :(

Like I notice your Starlight sig avatar, I guess that is a good example, I remember all of the protest to her character, I think Starlight has actually turned out to be one of my favorite characters and an amazing addition to the show, It wouldnt be good for the franchise mixing Sunset back into the continuity in the pony world. Honeslty "No Second Prances" is one of the most amazing episodes of anything I have ever seen let alone MLP. I am absolutely in love with that episode of that show, if anything could ever speak for feelings I have or ways to relate, that is by far the greatest episode for me, but there are some people that dont see characters with development in mind rather first impression, as do they real life as well.
