I don't see it very likely, and perhaps it's a bit too dark for ponies, but I'd love a twist like it

ahhh yes, I think something like that needs to happen in mlp., there is nothing wrong with some great villainy plot twist.

Isn't it kind of silly to figure out the plot twists of the movie with the "help" of the previous works of the voice actors and writers?

Hmm... well although Lauren Faust originally made MLP in the knowledge that queens are usually depicted as evil in kids cartoons, meanwhile princesses are lovable, sweet, and highly marketable, (hence PRINCESS Celestia) it would be a very cool twist to see that idea turned on its head! But knowing hasbro, I doubt it. Maybe she's working for the storm king at most, but we'll just have to see.

By this logic I think it's safe to say that because Meghan McCarthy is working on it, so don't expect any crazy twist

This is a My Little Pony movie, I highly doubt a princess character is going to be portrayed as evil.

They already did that with Canterlot Wedding and Luna.
