Yuki gave a slight smile and shook her head. "No, but knowing you, you'd probably do that anyway." The fox faunus then set her weapon to the side and looked to the sky. "Either way, I just didn't want to worry either of you. I'm not exactly sure what's causing it, so I at least wanted to figure that out first before doing anything to drastic. I'm sorry."

Rei sighed and knew that this wasn't going to be easy for her. She had never really talked about her past with anyone, yet she trusted Euca. "Ok. I just want you to know that I was a lot younger during all of this." She said. "When I turned six or seven, I joined the White Fang. It wasn't by choice, but rather the fact that every other member of my family was in it, not that I was complaining. I mean, I got to essentially work towards equality between faunus and humans. Who wouldn't want that?" The snake faunus then gave a dry laugh at the thought of the White Fang as it was at that time achieving anything. Humans weren't exactly the most open minded of creatures. "Anyway, I didn't do much aside from a few menial tasks, make a friend or two, and learn as much as I could. Of course, things didn't exactly go as planned. When the humans didn't give us equality, there was a change in leadership. The White Fang began to grow violent, and attacks on dust companies and individual humans became the norm." Tears then began to slide down Rei's cheeks as her breathing became hitched. "My parents and siblings tried to hide that part of the group from me, but it wasn't long before I was sent out with someone who I thought was a friend to conduct a raid on some dust mines. Long story short, I left as soon as I could. I didn't kill anyone or take anything except for what I needed to survive. We were in Vacuo at the time, so I had to run through miles of desert just to get to some semblance of civilization. My family probably think I'm dead, or I probably wouldn't be here. As for my friend, I know he left. Maybe not after that mission, but he definitely left. They probably gave him a free ride back here to Vale. I don't know why they would, though. Most of his bad memories are from here, even if he doesn't remember them."

Draco opened his eyes to the shadow his body cast on the riverbed, the afternoon sun warming his back. "I suppose that should be a long enough soak." He said, before moving towards the ground. Water sloshed around what was essentially a sack of skin as he moved and began to flow out of whatever holes had been made as a result of the current when he reached the shore and stood. As he stretched, cracks began to form in the skin tight sack, making a large portion of it come off in a single piece. Anything that didn't initially fall was picked off. As the old layer was removed, a shiver went down the faunus' spine as air touched new skin, and a slight smirk spread across his lips. Looking over his new body, he noticed a luster in his scales that he had not seen in a long time, along with an increased number of said features. "Defiently haven't done that in a while." He said. After a quick application of electricity to evaporate any water on his body, Draco put eveyrthing but his jacket on, sat on the ground, and began to meditate.

Euca gazed into the teared up eyes of the fauness, her story was something he was happy to know, although it was rather dark, he was happy she could trust him as well, he smiled and held out his arms for a hug,

"Ya know, that is a secret I can keep," he let out a sigh,

"I have a secret of my own, I am kind of an outlaw in Vale, and may or may not have stolen from a bunch of stores that supplied the shcnee dust company's dust. I may have went on a run a couple days ago, and now I am quitting to become a huntsmen," he said.

He didn't like saying anything about his past but he could make an exception. He awaited the hug, hopefully gaining one.

"Oh and one more thing, the past is the past, what you do now defines who you are as a huntress, and if you decide to go back, I will support your decision one hundred percent as long as you keep in touch with me." He finished.

Ghalan chuckled slightly as he looked at Yuki and said "Should have came out about it when you discovered it. It causes me to worry about you Yuki," Ghalan stated gently as he smirked at her. He shooked his head slightly his ears twitching slowly. "I'll scout around unless you want me tio stay here with you Yuki?" Ghalan asked as he then smirked. "How about I sing you a song?" Ghalan asked.

Yuki thought for a second before giving a slight smile. "Might as well." She said. At the very least, it would help to change the subject of their conversation and pass the time. She could go talk with Draco after this.

Rei looked at the human she had just confided in, and felt as if a weight a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. The snake then all but tackled Euca as she wrapped her arms around him. "Looks like we both had something to hide. I won't tell the others, and there's no way I'm willingly going back to the Fang." She said. The snake faunus then noticed how comfortable Euca's clothes felt against her head, and decided to not let go.

As the mass moved closer to the students, other grimm were attracted by its prescence and the negativity that resonated off of it. They were eager for the coming battle and the possibilty of death of those that were not born from the blood of the dark queen. So far, fifty lesser grimm had formed a pack, with the mass at the back, and more were coming.

Euca kept his balance as they hugged, and from the lengthy time of the hug he could tell they were both enjoying it, now it all came down to who would say something first, so he did,

"Hey...um...as much as I am enjoying this hug, like umm..." He turned red,

"We should probably get back to the task at hand," he didnt want to let go, but he had to.

Ghalan looked at Yuki with a grin as he cleared his throat. His ears twitched quickly listening in for anything that might be grimm. He chuckled as he began to sing for her. It was a sad song but he was only a faunus. His voice echoed throughout the forest. His voice spoke of pain.

Yuki felt her ears press against her head as she listened to Ghalan's song, not noticing a tear sliding down her cheek. The song reminded her that not every faunus has the life that she did, and that she should probably call her parents at some point. "That was beautiful." She said.

Etherius listened and then narrowed his eyes as Ghalan had left, he looked at Shian and decided not to comment. He looked at the trees around them and wandered a bit before finding the tree he was seeking. Before telling Shian or acknowledging the tree further he turned and said calmly "Listen. I will say these three things only once." he breathed softly before starting "One. I can stop being brutally honest with you if you want, but know this, if you say I should stop. You increase the risk of yourself dying, anybody on our team dying, anyone around you dying, you also increase the risk of humanity perishing, all over you not wanting to feel hurt." he stopped shortly "Two. Since you apparently lack vocabulary knowledge, I'll simplify it for you, to put it in layman's terms that is. I prefer knowing over simply trusting, that is to say, know if you can do it and not die over trusting that you will be able to do it." he took a short pause again leaning on a tree with his hand "Three. We'll be tapping this tree"

Rei felt a light blush creep onto her cheeks, and she brok contact with Euca. "Sorry. It just feels good too finally be able to open  up to someone after so long." She said, before checking to make sure the sap was still flowing.

As any huntsman or huntress would tell you, grimm are attracted by the negativity emotions that humans feel, be it rage, hopelessness, or jealousy, among others. The somber atmosphere brought about by Ghalan's song and the brewing fight between Shian and Etherius only gave the grimm that were already forming a large pack two focal points to attack. They could still sense three other seperate groups, but weren't as drawn to them as much. The grimm that had created the hoard then let loose a roar that echoed through the forest, sending the lesser grimm out in packs of five and towards the humans and faunus that had arrived in the forest. As for the larger grimm, it had other plans forming in its head.

Draco feelt a chill run down his spine as his eyes shot open. There were only a few times where he had truely felt fear, and this was one of them. Not for himself, but rather for those he had come to know as friends. "I need to get back to the others." He thought, standing and drawing his weapon. He would cut down anything that got in his way. The dragon faunus then sped off into the forest, using the tree branches to gain a higher ground in relation to the grimm.

Glynda had been looking over a few messages from Ozpin when she heard the roar of a grimm. "This can't be good" She thought. There wash't supposed to be any grimm in this part of the forest, so what could've possibly brought them here. The instructor then headed into the forest to find the students and hopefully bring them back to the academy in one piece.

Ghalan smirked as he looked at Yuki hearing the roar. "Ah that's my cue," he stated as he ran towards where his traps were. He let his anger out in waves as to draw as many grimm to him. Each trap taking as many grimm as it could He was humming a song as he walked through where his traps were. he pulled out a detonator and sets off afew mines filled with his special mixture of fire dust and lighting dust. the explosions taking out more grimm along the way as Ghalan was smirking while he played a song on his scroll while walking.

Yuki winced as she heard the roar and watched Ghalan leave. "Looks like he has a plan." She thought, before grabbing her weapon and the now filled container of sap. The fox faunus knew that the wolf could handle himself in a fight, if the sound of chaos that followed his departure was anything to go off of, so she figured it'd be best to try and take out as many as she could, while trying to meet up with her team leader. The fox faunus then had an idea, and shifted her weapon into its bow configuration. A few seconds later, a blue arrow made of aura could be seen piercing the air, exploding into a fireball when it had gotten to a decent altitude and acting as a makeshift flare to tell the other students in the forest where she was.

Rei felt a pit form in her stomach from the increased amount of grimm, and nodded. What she wasn't expecting was to hear the sound of multiple explosions and the sight of what looked like a flare. "Was that the other team? I never thought they could be this strong." She muttered. "That being said, we should probably make sure they're safe as well. The snake faunus then extended her sword as five beowulves came charging at the two, and formed a large snake out of ink using her semblance.

As for Etherius and Shian, three ursae moved to intercept them.

Draco noticed Yuki's flare and automatically assumed the worst. He knew Ghalan well enough that he could assume that the explosions were his doing, so that meant that said fox faunus was alone. That was something that didn't sit well with him, and he increased the speed at which he moved.

The students weren't the only ones to see the flare, however. The grimm that had initiated the enitre situation gave a twisted smirk as it made its way to the area the fox faunus was, a dual bladed ax carving a trench through the ground as it was dragged behind the creature. When it finally entrered the clearing, and the light shone on its black hide, one could see that it had the appearance of a man with a bull head, furred legs, two cloven hooves for feet, and a tail. In short, it was a minotaur. One of the horns had a portion cut off and a scar could be seen that ran across where one of its red eyes would be.

Yuki turned to look at the grimm that had entered the clearing, and could tell that it had seen its fair share of combat, meaning that it had been around for a considerable amount of time. She knew that escape wasn't possible, so she would have to fight the monster in front of her. "I won't fail. I will be strong for my team, and myself. Even with Draco's training, Yuki could tell that she was the weakest link in terms of strength and raw power when it came to the remaining three members of Team DARC, but she didn't want it to be like that anymore. She wanted to prove herself, not to be coddled like some child. The fox faunus then fired multiple arrows from her bow, before shifting her weapon into a lance and charging forwards. If the projectiles didn't strike, then she would while her opponent was distracted.

Shian held his blades firmly as the ursae drew closer to them,

"So since you're the leader, do you have any ideas," he said gritting his teeth.

Euca created hia doubleheaded spear and jumped towards the first beowolf, he swung his spear cutting through the first one before spinning his spear and stabbing another. He ducked under a claw,

"Ya know this was not how I expected my day to go," he said ripping the spear out and rolling away,

"Your move Rei,"

Ghalan perched his ears up then saw the flare. He let's out his roar. He needed to get to Yuki. He knew she could handle herself. But he feared something was going to happen. And he was the closest to her so he ran full tilt. When he saw he charging the beast. HE saw it about to bring it's axe down upon her he fired his explosive rounds into the axe to divert the axes trajectory.  When he got there he drew his blade.

"No problem." Rei then drove her sword into a beowulf's chest, spilling whatever the monster's version of blood was onto the grass. The grimm shortly dissolved as the snake slithered forward and bit into anothers upper body. While the grimm tried to claw at the creation's body, it merely smeared ink everywhere as it was cut in half. "One more. Together?" Of course, Rei didn't wait for an answer as she ran towards it, her sword ready to strike.

The minotaur grimm dodged out of the way of the arrows and was about to draw his ax when it was knocked astray by a bullet frok the trees. He didn't pay any attention to the second participant though, not when the fox faunus was charging straight at it. The grimm then wrapped his hands around the lance's point and stopped it just a few centimeters short of piercing its thick hide. "Two smell like dragon." Its voice was raspy and as deep as a human could possibly comprehend. Something akin to a twisted smirk then spread across the monster's muzzle as it lifted the lance and drove a punch into Yuki's chest, knocking her away from her weapon, before throwing it in the general direction of Ghalan. "Kill all. Make suffer."

Yuki winced as she felt a few ribs crack from the force of the impact of the grimm's fist, but that was nothing her aura couldn't heal in time. "Wait, did that thing talk?" She thought. The fox faunus hadn't even noticed that the grimm could replicate human speech until a few seconds after the fact, and she was mildly surprised now that she thought about it. That being said, she noticed that her body was making its descent back to the ground and braced for whatever impact might come and closed her eyes.

That being said, when the beowulf lunged at the two hunters, she had her creation wrap around the monster, forcing it to the ground. "Your turn, Euca."

As soon as Draco entered the clearing, he noticed Yuki falling to the ground and her lance headed for Ghalan. Acting on instinct, he rushed forward and caught the fox faunus, holding her close to his body, falling to his knees from the added weight. He could tell from the damage to her clothes that she had been hit with a decent amount of force, so he was careful not to move her that much. The chill that ran down his spine when scaled fingers touched bare skin surprised him, but he ignored it when he noticed that she was breathing, at least for the time being. As for the lance, he tried to slow it down, but it was to far for him to do anything too drastic.

The grimm silently watched the three and felt a dark satisfaction in the fact that Draco saw someone he obviously cared for hurt. For now, it would observe the events that would transpire from a distance.

"With pleasure," he spun his staff around his body before finally placing the point of the spear on the creature's chest and plunging it forward into it.

He watched it vanish before turning and smiling at Rei,

"That was cool," he saud happily, getting the sudden urge to kiss her, but he held back.

Yuki was surprised to feel something softer, yet just as unyielding as the ground break her fall, or at least slow her down to the point where she didn't get hurt more than she already was. When she opened her eyes, the first things she saw were the blood red pupils of her team leader's, causing a light blush to spread across her cheeks. "Draco, what's going on?" The fox faunus then remebered the grimm and moved to get up, but stopped once the pain in her chest flared. "That thing hit like a freaking truck. What do we do?"
