What are you talking about, she's had an entire character arc since the show started?!  And Luna's my best princess, don't get me wrong, but she is not lacking in screen time, Celestia has a fraction of everything Luna's had.

She's never been this bad before. It's like she's this way just for the sake of the episode

To be fair everyone has off-days; if you will. And we haven't had THIS much focus on Trixie often, so yeah.

Anyone else noticing how in both episodes, we're jumping from scene through similar lines of dialog?

For example:

Rainbow dash in one location: we're the best

Granny Smith in another location far away: You're the worst!

So after a few months of waiting, season 7 is finally here, and I can finally give my thoughts on the first two episodes.

I thought that they made for a nice start for the season.

I liked how Twilight's struggle as a mentor for Starlight was portrayed, and I was really happy to see Celestia actually get a decent role in an episode for a change.

Both Twilight and Celestia ended up getting some decent character development, heck the latter even ended up getting some pretty memorable lines.  My favorite had to be "I wasn't aware I'm an expression."

For the second episode, I thought it was okay, but Celestial Advice ended up as the stronger episode, although I did enjoy the song, and the meta jokes the show made about the characters singing songs throughout All Bottled Up.

I do find it interesting that this is the first season to premiere without a two parter.

I also thought it was cool how the intro has been upgraded to show the new logo.

That's all I really have to say for now.
