I found the MLP forums through using google.

How you became a fan of My Little Pony

That's an ironic story. I have been a MLP fan since its first started in 1982. I was a child who owned nearly all the G1 ponies of the first year of release. Since then I've been hooked and been collecting ponies from all the generations. Eight years ago I had my first daughter and I found myself scowering the internet for my little ponies to buy her ponies I could customize, clean up or even new ponies where I could find them. I spent HOURS searching ebay, the pony forums and other websites for ponies. I spent countless hours searching thrift stores for discarded and used ponies I could restore for my daughter. Unfortunately there wasn't much to choose from and there was nothing new out. I was frustrated as a parent to say the least! So I went on the Hasbro website and found the section where a customer could write an e-mail to the staff making suggestions about toys we would like to see them make for our kids. I wrote a long e-mail to Hasbro telling them how they were missing out on a gold mine. Here they had generation of pony fans who had grown up loving MLP and now we were having our own children and wanting to share those classic toys we'd loved with our own children but HASBRO was dropping the ball! They weren't providing us with a new line of MLP for our kids! Instead we were having to search for old beat up toys and old VHS tapes in order to share this great toy with our children! I scolded them for their lack of insight and then I listed all the MLP forums and websites where parents just like me were spending HOURS upon HOURS hunting for these toys for our children. I told them to consider how much money we as parent would spend if they just would bring out a MLP line that was similar to the original line they launched in 1982 and 1983. I told them how we as parents liked Ponies even more than Barbie or Bratz dolls because the MLP toys weren't over sexualized and instead were all about teaching GOOD moral values to our kids. We parents wanted that AGAIN for our own children. I didn't hear anything for a few weeks and thought my letter was lost in the stack of millions of other parent's emails. Then I learned that the company had decided to launch a NEW MLP line called Friendship is Magic! I later learned that my e-mail had struck a cord with the executives at Hasbro and they saw how much our MLP collecting community wanted a new revamped line of MLP for this current generation. So yeah, I'm a huge fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I'm proud to say that my voice, and the list of the 40,000 other MLP enthusiasts who were signed up on the MLP Arena and the MLP Forums voices were heard and we have a new generation of MLP for fans of all ages. I never thought that the voice of a frustrated mother would have reached the ears and hearts of the executives of a major toy company, but I sure am thankful that it did. They saw how much all of us loved their product and were willing to take a chance on relaunching a huge pony line! So now, after all these years, I now have three daughters and we have all their bedrooms decorated in MLP. We love MLP :D. Thank you Hasbro for hearing our voices and giving us what we asked for!

I became a pony fan in 1982 when my parents bought me my very first MLP Blossom for my birthday. Ever since I've been hooked and I've collected over 800 MLPs and other items. I think I have over 20+ playsets and MLP dollhouses too. First issue comic books and lots of other memorabilia. I'm a BIG fan! 

I have three girls, all of them are MLP fans too. We love to collect MLP as a family and to go to Conventions together in Pony Dress! 

 

I used to have an old account on the MLP forums but my laptop died and I lost my passwords so I'm starting a new account.

 

We love MLP   It's super fun!

Thanks everyone! It's good to be back!!! Yes, I'd say I'm quite a pony connoisseur, lol. I literally have enough MLPs to fill three bedrooms. I could start my own museum. .... which I've considered doing. I think we could use a MLP toy museum, don't you?
