when I started working I felt really depressed and would listen to mlp in the back ground it really does help to her happy things going on in the back ground when you arent feeling your best.

Hi my names maddy and iv felt very lonely ever since i lost my best friend of 10 years when he moved  to a different state, iv been battling depression brought on by loneliness for several  years  and I cant even sleep most of the time, when i get off work i find myself staying at the  buisness for soem times 3 hours or more just listening to other people conversations and how they interact that or i go to the park  and just watch other people walking together or talking. I like to think of myself in these situations  were i could have my own special some one  that would make me feel inspired to be alive insted of just existing. I hope i can find a local friend in new orleans here

I'm sorry to hear about your friend, it sounds like you miss him a lot. Do you keep in contact with him? Any chance you can maybe visit him?

I am sorry to hear about how you are feeling.... but try and cheer up. There are a lot of people on this site who will be your friends, so nothing to worry about. Hey, I understand what it's like to deal with depression. My own mother had it for years before she decided that life was just not worth living anymore. I've also myself have had troubles falling asleep.
