Does anyone else feel like Sombra should make a comeback? He got defeated pretty early in my opinion. A little too early..

Yes. He should make a comeback. Mlp has numerous villains and each are slowly becoming good. Which is awesome in my opinion but the show needs a few villains. King Sombra Comeback!!

I suppose I wouldn't mind seeing more of him. But didn't he die?

I'm personally hoping Lord Tirek will return. Maybe if the writers attempted to give him a redemption arc, they could introduce his brother Scorpan into the show. He initially tried convincing his brother the error of his ways to no avail. I wonder he Tirek could be redeemed like Discord. Come to think of it, it's a lot like Princess Luna and Celestia's story.

Sadly, a comeback would just override what many see as a well-done (controversy notwithstanding) epilogue in Siege Of The Crystal Empire.

 

And I, for one, am to the Happy Ending Override trope what The Nostalgia Critic is to Bat Credit Cards.

He kinda died in the show itself, so I can't really see him returning.

He didn't die, he had his horn separated which trapped him. He can technically come back.

He really should, I still have a few questions as to why he did all the things he did in the first place... and it would make a great episode. I wouldnt want him to be reformed or anything, I just want to see him again in the series as the great villain he is ^.^

Apparently what the comics have been doing with him is pretty interesting. Otherwise, eh, he kinda sucked as a character, and they killed him off for real. Better to not override the comic canon in this case I guess.
