I could be it something like this:

Twilight: Democrat.

Rarity: Independant.

Applejack: Republican.

Pinkie Pie: None

Rainbow Dash: Libertarian

Fluttershy: Republican.

I would like to think they would have the good sense to stay far far away from the whole damn mess that it all is.

That or start firing the friendship laser indiscriminately...

Pinkie Pie would be Monster Raving Loony I think :D

No she would be a Theocrat cause everybody likes to believe she's a diety that can defy the laws of physics and nature (pretty similar to cartoons from the 40s-60s). So she wants everyone to worship her as a diety. I say to damnation with you Pinkie. I ain't submitting to you.

She can only do that when it's funny though, not for personal gain - she obeys cartoon logic, at least :D

Well, Fluttershy wouldn't side with an anti-environmental political leader, nor would Twilight as based on her book knowledge she would know that science isn't a load of fiction, not to mention anyone who majors in the social sciences is probably liberal by default...so yeah, those two would be liberal, especially since Twilight has effectively surpassed the equivalent to winning a Nobel Prize in her field.  AJ might be liberal too as she would prefer a leader who would be fine with designating more land for agricultural purposes rather than allocating more to building condos.

Pinkie probably wouldn't care.  She doesn't seem to be politically minded, and is all about uplifting spirits regardless of what's going on.  Rainbow probably wouldn't care either as long as she can be the best Wonderbolt she can be.  She would only start to care if politics started affecting her organization, so I think she would rather politics just be kept out of the thing she loves most.  Pinkie too.  I think that's what I respect most about them.

Rarity is the only one who I think would be firmly conservative, and that's because her business is large enough that she would undoubtedly benefit from the conservative mantra of keeping taxes low and allowing businesses to line their pockets so that they continue to enact policies that benefit business chains.  As demonstrated in the comics, she tends to side with Filthy Rich on major political schisms.

For this kinda discussion, it is very easy to show bias as to say for example, "Character I like represents my side, and character I hate represents the side I think is LITERALLY HITLER!" Sadly though, I'll have to speak somewhat in stereotypes to make determining their political views easier.

For Twilight, it's pretty hard to determine if going by American politics. Yes, she values knowledge and science, but in America both political parties tend to only use science when convenient for their narrative, and outright ignore it when it goes against it. But if we stretch to other parties, definitely a monarchist. She is a princess and all.

Applejack would be conservative. She values hard work for the reward, which if we go by stereotypes, is what the conservative side tends to prefer. And if we're to take this stereotype farther, there was an episode where she wanted to stop a bunch of bats from mooching off her food, which you could easily replace with say an immigrant.

Which leads us to Fluttershy, who was on the opposite end of that thinking in that particular episode, making her liberal. She would also be an animal rights activist if in the real world seeing her love of animals. To top it off, in Equestria Girls, she was seen eating a veggie burger, making her either a vegetarian or vegan, which is what a stereotypical liberal would be.

Rainbow Dash and Rarity are both pretty hard  to determine. Both don't really show any political bias in any episodes, as they're both more goal oriented with their respected hobbies. I guess both would be independents with Rarity leaning slightly to the left seeing as sometimes the fashion world can be associated with gay stuff.

And Pinkie would just create her own political party, with balloons, streamers, and cupcakes :derp:
