Twilight should just give Spike wings

I'm at the conclusion(comics don't count, its own thing) that either dragons are born without wings and grow them naturally, or he's an earth dragon(we have not seen other baby dragons or kid dragons, just teens and adults) 

So really Twilight has the power, can't she just go like

Twilight: "Oh for the love of -HERE!!"(zaps spike and gives him wings)

I think it might be considered a bit insulting. Just giving him wings when he's never asked for them, with the assumption that he just should have them and he's better off with them. As if he's wrong for how he is now without them.

She did give Rarity wings in Sonic Rainboom, but those were fragile and the sun destroyed them, so I don't think Spike would want to have those kind of wings.

I don't know if she could even get him other types of wings anyways.

There was an old theory that the reason Spike lacks wings (as well as having a generally softer appearance than the other dragons) is because he's part pony, possibly as a side effect of Twilight's magic.

I don't really care if he gets wings or not, but he should physically grow a bit like the CMCs! Shouldn't be hard to do! Just expand his model to make him look bigger! I think that's what they did with Sweetie Belle in Forever Filly!

Spike has never expressed any desire for wings nor encountered any need for them. There is no reason for Twilight to give them to him. Should she just give Applejack wings? Rarity? Shining Armour? Those are, essentially, the same question; as in those cases, we have no reason to believe Twilight is even capable of creating such wings, let alone that Spike would want them.

I don't think Twilight can just give him permanent wings. Besides, he hasn't really shown interest in them. He's the youngest dragon shown so far, so I am not sure if he would eventually obtain them, though the times he has been show to grow he hasn't had them if I remember.

Some remarks made by (Garble?, ICR) in Dragon Quest imply that at least some dragons aren't born with wings. It may be that they grow them later but Spike has grown twice (Cutie Mark Chronicles & Secret of My Excess) & hasn't gotten wings either time. IMO, if he doesn't get wings by magic he may never get them

This tackles one of my biggest pet peeves when I see art of Older!Spike. They ALWAYS give him wings. Always.

The fact that this is the overwhelming majority strikes me as so strange, especially with the fact that we got to SEE what an older Spike might look like in Secret of My Excess. Granted that probably wasn’t the typical dragon growth process, but he did look awesome. And he didn’t have wings!

Contrary to what some might think, dragons can in fact NOT have wings. There’s no Law of Fantasy that says they can’t. And I think Spike is perfect the way he is.

And when I get around to drawing him older, I’m NOT giving him wings.
