Anyone here have any IRL experience with raising/taking care of Ponies?

Just curious, and if so, just how big do they get? How much smaller would you say the Ponies in MLP are to IRL ones? Are they big enough to ride?

I've worked with horses plenty before, but I don't have much experience with ponies. I know a lot of them have a bit of a Napoleon complex.

I've had experience with raising horses on my family's farm when I was a kid...Never raised a pony though. 

As for your questions..

1. *Googles* Four feet ten inches

2.*Googles* MLP Ponies are about 3-4 Ft tall so I'd say they're about the same...

3. It depends...I've been to Baguio City, where they let you ride horses as well as Ponies, and the Management only allowed folks of a certain age limit to ride ponies...I think it was enough for a teenager but Adults weren't allowed....
