Adaline The Nice Lady is something of a serial killer. However normal humans would never be able to arrest her, as they do not register her as a threat or even recognize who she is. She could quite literally stab a family to death in their own home, and their dying thoughts would be about what a nice lady she is. She is so good at infiltration and espionage because nobody asks her why she is there, or who she is, or what she is doing. She is the nice lady, and that is all they need to know. 

Magic users (aka players) can see through this a bit. They are the most unnerved by her. Part of them wants to accept her as a non threat, while the other part has their hairs standing on end and their fight or flight instincts kick in. And that is only if she is in their direct line of sight, if she goes out of their sight, suddenly what she looks like and what she did starts slipping from their minds like water through your fingers unless you can write it down fast. That is the only reason she even has a reputation at this point, cause otherwise she would just be in the background, waiting to kill like the nice lady she is.

Wait, security cameras still pick up on her, right? The University does have general surveillance around campus to pick up on student incidents and things like that, so she can't go all-out on the musical numbers (unless those viewing the camera feeds are affected the same way).

Just an idea for a future interaction, before Shadow became a teacher, he worked for some 'bad' people and sorta know a bit about her, just that there's a person that could get away easily.

Yes, security cameras can see her. She isn't invisible, rather humans dont register her as a threat. Even if they knew there was an intruder, a normal human would just ask the nice lady where the intruder went, and would not be able to recognize her as a threat. Only players can, and even then it's difficult.

@reader8363 if he knows about her, he should be scared of her. The few that know of her deeds know shes a chaotic force that you can never quite figure out. She is the kind of person that would kill you with a genuinely happy smile on her face.

Just remember she is very very difficult to recognize as a threat even for magic users, and as soon as she is out of sight, she fades away from their minds. It's very difficult to be on guard against someone like that. You'd have to be paranoid to the point of insanity to never be caught of guard. 

Hers is not a power of brawn, but of horror.

Adaline rarely ever "fights" anyone. Shes usually in the background until she feels the need to make her presence known. Basically if Ghalan is interacting with her, its cause she WANTS to interact with him.

If he could keep an eye on her long enough to do so. Once shes outa sight she fades into the background so to speak. Itll be very difficult to interact with her unless she actively wants to interact with you. 

Shes not a conventional character. Shes going to be difficult to deal with.

But do security feeds affect people the same way as she does? If it's possible for you to write something down about her before she vanishes from your mind, thereby gaining tangible/memorable knowledge of her, is it possible for security feeds to give you tangible/memorable knowledge of her too? Or are video and audio feeds too closely linked to her to be exempt from her effect? If someone tells you over the phone about her while they're under her effect, do you forget what they told you about her?

In short, how many cognitive or mechanical disjoints are necessary to escape her memory-fade powers?

For the security feed question, it depends on if you were in her immediate area of effect. If you only saw her by camera and you never interacted with her in person, you would know that she is there. However if you were to show that same security footage to people who were right next to her during that recording, they would be flabbergasted as to who that person was. It wont remind them at all of The Nice Lady they interacted with. Even if your first visual of her was a security feed, it would be very difficult still to recognize her in person, though you would probably get the feeling like You're forgetting something very important. 

For the phone thing, it again depends on which side of the call You're on. The person who is with the nice lady, like a regular human, likely wouldn't bring her up, and if they did, they would say they were talking with a nice lady. They would use those two words specifically, "Nice Lady" or "The Nice Lady" or something to that effect. The person on the other end of the call who would know who that was would try to warn them, but it would be quite difficult to get through to them unless they are a player. This would also mean you could talk with her over the phone.

As to the Question of escaping the memory fade powers, that is difficult. If you never dealt with her in person, you could keep records of her, what she looks like, what she sounds like, what have you. However once you've gone into her presence holding any tangible information about her in your mind becomes a challenge. You would have difficulty connecting the person you met with the recordings in your mind. You could have a picture of her and hold it up to the Nice Lady in person and not be able to connect the dots unless you were a player, even then itd be like trying to remember something you had forgotten.

Non magical Pelijae and lesser magical pelijae (aka npcs) are in the same boat as humans. Only players will have somewhat of a chance to recognize her, and that is if she is actively interacting with them. 

I wouldn't call it audiomancy. I want to leave some secrets for the rp. Shes supposed to be a bit mysterious.

Pretty sure both of them are mainly and predominantly pissed. He saved them from HIS OWN powers partially triggered by Ira. They really have nothing to be grateful for lol.
