To be fair, since the changeling hive collectively went glitterbug, they *do* look pretty fabulous

(and Ocellus is fast becoming my favorite bug, displacing Pharynx )

As an aside - got an odd 1L box about half an hour ago - hazelnut non-dairy substitute, premixed with coffee. Ingredients list says "coffee extract" though, so I am suspicious this is basically premixed instant coffee

Yup. Camp coffee, the molasses-like stuff they put into coffee "pods" and the various grades of powder, granule and flaked instant coffee - all really the same stuff. Still some can be pretty nice, it depends on how good the coffee was BEFORE they did that to it

Very true.  Although, I haven't found a decent coffee syrup since I left New England.  I really miss coffee milk.

I miss the "Brazil" brand tinned coffee - all the local chinese supermarkets carried it (and I used to buy it by the caseload) then suddenly supply dried up and I couldn't figure out why. Amazon would claim to have it, but then fail to deliver....

I suspect it is the same as the tinned coffee - ingredients were basically milk, sugar and coffee extract, but in a 8oz tin like a soft drink. Absolutely awesome icy cold straight from the refrigerator

Probably. might be a little better being made fresh, but I can't confirm that.

Most things are better fresh - but I suspect even "fresh" coffee milk will be using factory made coffee syrup.

I have just ordered (and I mean just - about 3-4 minutes ago on amazon) a 1L "cold brew" jug; will have to see how that works out

Anyhow - I am semi-addicted to the mocha cortados from my local costa - basically chocolate syrup and espresso shots, shaken over ice - so hoping I can reproduce that using the coldbrew jug before they bankrupt me
