Celestia and her punishments

I've been thinking and realized something. If Equestria and our world was connected with a portal that acted as a border, the United Nations would be pretty mad at Celestia for her form of punishment.

They'd probably say she made some rights violations by banishing her sister to the moon and banishing Sunset Shimmer to another dimension. Not only that, it is implied that Celestia had no idea what was in the dimension.

What do you guys think about this?

Starlight was never banished to another dimension, EVER!

And she didn't want to banish her sister to the moon, but she had no choice. And at the time, the best the Elements could do were to put Nightmare Moon away so she wouldn't take over. The Elements needed new Bearers namely Twilight and her friends to be used to their full potential again after Celestia and Luna could no longer use them properly.

Watch this clip from 3:15 and pay attention to Celestia's face at 4:11. She's clearly in deep sadness having to do this to her sister!

Maybe they meant Sunset instead of Starlight. (Sunset left of her own accord anyway)

Equestria does have a lack of due process. But it is way better than a lot of countries here.

Season 4 "Princess Twilight Sparkle" end of part 1 and beginning of part 2. That video I found just combined the two parts together.

Because Celestia and Luna were were no longer connected to the Elements of Harmony after Luna became Nightmare Moon. It took both Princesses to use them, but after Luna's transformation, their connection to the Elements was weaken,so the Elements couldn't be used to their full potential. The Elements needed new Bearers (The Mane 6) to use them at full power again.

Serisiously, use your brain. They clearly showed in Princess Twilight Sparkle part 2 that it used to take both sisters to use the Elements. Being Alicorns they took 3 elements each to work on Discord.

But with only Celestia dealing with Nightmare Moon, it must have caused a drain on the Elements since the Element of Magic disappeared and the others turned to stone just as the Mane 6 found them.

taking into account that the ponies live happily and in '' harmony '' it could be said that the celestial mandate for the last thousand years has been a good government ... with its faults but at least it is slightly more honest than the existing governments.

you correct me if I'm wrong, but I've noticed that those who enjoy more educational benefits have been the unicorns ... that is, each pony is dedicated to what he wants ... but I have not seen more schools (in addition to ponyville elementary school which is not that they teach the great thing) and the flight school in cloudsdale which makes you wonder, only the unicorns have the right to a good education for their magic ?, the pegasus and Terrestrial have no right to enjoy a good non-magical education?

Why would the U.N even feel they have any right to question Celestia's judgment? They aren't from Equestria, and they haven't been around for a thousand years, so honestly what ever they say or chastise Celestia for doing is pretty low, especially when taking into account how peaceful and happy Equestria is with their rulers. If the ponies of Equestria are happy with the way things are, then there's no reason the U.N needs to be so upset with the things that their rulers did over a thousand years ago.

This topic has me laughing. It's interesting to picture Celestia before a court trying to convince "Human Beings" that her actions were justified, but here's the thing. Sunset Shimmer has already been cleared up, but Luna attempted a coup/assassination over her co-ruler. The only way she'd face any heat over that is if the coup were supported by a majority of the G7, but that's highly unlikely unless she's abused her constitutional power or has resorted to torturing her opponents, evidence for either can not be found. She's a reigning monarch with a generally laissez faire style of ruling. She reacts only to circumstances of immediate danger that absolutely require her interference if she's aware of them, however this is mostly covered by Twilight since she's all but being trained to be a replacement and needs to prove she's capable of fulfilling this role. The worst she could be accused of is gross negligence.

Meanwhile humans are constantly attempting coups, assassinations in public spaces, using chemical weapons or blowing up civilians, continuing the operations of places like Guantanamo Bay, rejecting refugees in situations where they'll likely die, and continuing acts of harassment or corruption. That's for 2018 alone, and it doesn't even compare to what we know so far from a pony that's lived for over a thousand years.

That's an assumption... not a fact. No need to assume someone is stupid because they don't have the same opinion as you.

It's not that hard to puzzle out. 

I think the theory is that the elements turned to stone after Celestia used them to banish Nightmare. That is when she lost the connection to them. At the end of season 7, they said the elements didn't disappear/turn to stone because they were used for healing instead of banishment.

This makes more sense. Since she used them for banishment instead of healing... she became unable to use them.

Just because Twilight played Clover the Clever in a play doesn't mean the original Clover was a mare. They never referred to Clover's gender in the play. Heck, Rainbow Dash played Commander Hurricane who could very well have been male, due to being referred to as Sir.
