How Did You Get Into MLP?

Well, I was approached by this shady dude a few years back. He said, "Hey man! Want to try some pony?" I tried some...now I'm hopelessly addicted. Help.

Okay, seriously--I don't really remember what got me into it. I think that I was just sniffing around YouTube for a new cartoon to try and got lucky.

I got into MLP around the Fall of 2012. I was at a card shop with some friends and we were discussing trading cards and anime. A couple of my friends were bringing up MLP and I decided to ignore them. They were telling me that I would like it and I kept telling them no, but they were pretty persistent. They showed me the Epic Pie Time video, as well as the song, "This Day in Aria." After several months, I finally decided to watch the show. I told them that if I didn't like it, then they would stop bothering me to watch MLP. I watched the first two episodes of season 1 and I thought the show was pretty cool. After watching episode three, I was instantly hooked into the show. I did a marathon of the first three seasons that were out at the time. Since then, I've continued to watch the series and I've been caught up on all the episode, that have been out at the current moment.

I just decided to watch it once I saw that it looked good when I saw my sister watching it.

I got into MLP by cruising around Youtube and finding a video on MLP. Don't remember what video it was.

Back in the day when Youtube was more, non-corporate, I found a Brony who said I should watch the show because Q from Star Trek was in it, and that was all I needed to hear!

Luck! A lot of luck! I just randomly chose to watch it on Netflix and of course, I didn’t know how much of an effect it would have on me.

I just heard there was a My Little Pony show that guys liked. I assumed it was some kind of joke but I watch plenty of cartoons so I checked it out and loved it.

I used to be a huge Scratch user and I'd constantly see MLP groups there! I thought the ponies looked cute, but I never actually got into the show until I noticed that the pink one had a very familiar symbol...I realised she was the same pony I'd loved as a kid (in her G3 form, though), so I HAD to watch the show out of interest to see if she was how I imagined her. Absolutely wildly, she was, and I was hooked IMMEDIATELY. I NEEDED more Pinkie Pie...and now I'm proud to own over fifty pieces of merch of her, as well as watching every Pinkie episode more than once

I was browsing on YouTube and found a video about bronies. I thought the fanbase was creepy and weird but I genuinely wanted to know why they liked MLP so much. So, several weeks later I watched the first episode. I was expecting it to be very cringey and thought I would hate it to death!  To my surprise, I enjoyed it immensely and it became my favorite show!

It was in the beginning of last December 2020. I was in a lockdown for weeks. could only leave my house for work and doing groceries. So I was in need to waste my time in my apartment and one night I was watching some random AMVs on utube. And I could a recommendation from youtube for video series called 'Friendship is Musical. Didn't know what ti was. Clicked on it and it took me a moment to realize what I was watching, but I licked it. Then watched all videos from Tridashie and then I got another recommendation to a reaction to an MLP episode. I was curious and clicked on that too. It was the pony tones episode from season 4. I fell in love with the character of Flutters and started watching the series and joined later this place.
