Dang, I think there was some but I forget... I can say first, my gradeschool just so happened to get an improvement to the building (like nice facility) and new and cool playground equipment... AFTER my class graduated

And my Highschool was condemned a few years after I graduated :'(

My school had bomb threats like twice a week, kids pulled the fire alarm for no reason so often the fire department actually got slow to show up, we had a MRSA breakout, we found hair, used bandages, bugs, etc cooked into the "food" there, the police were there so often they started bringing K9 units to search lockers at random, they had metal detectors so kids would stop bringing knives to school,  fights broke out often and kids often made fun of this severely autistic kid because he was an easy target. I think I was one of the only people actually nice to him.

Some kids ripped the sinks off the bathroom walls in the third floor bathroom and thew actual shit on the walls. Now the staff keep that bathroom locked up permanently, so we have to go downstairs to the second floor to use the bathroom 

Recently some kid also spray-painted a big cock on the front of the school building too, luckily he was caught

There was a guy in my class who was known to be a bit of a wild child, and the teachers had a hard time getting him under control, mostly because his parents weren’t nice people, and his dad got arrested regularly. He was about to be expelled for his behaviour at one point. Anyway, he had a younger brother who, at the age of 11, in his first week of high school (I live in the UK), the lad started to curse at an 18 year old 6th Former (the last year of high school in the UK) and had his front teeth knocked out by him. I sort of felt sorry for that family. I feel like their behaviour wasn’t their own fault if their parents behaved like that. I’m sure the children have known little else.

Elementary: school was cancelled due to polar bears. Twice. And two buses crashed into eachother. If I didn't have scouts that day, I would've been on one of them.

High: Lobby bathrooms getting vandalized. A kid getting bacterial meningitis on a band trip. Band teacher getting fired (for picking on my brother during another band trip). Her replacement 'resigning' after 'allegations'. A popular kid almost died in A crash.  

And after I graduated, a kid got stabbed with a pencil. It's universally agreed upon that things have gone south since my class graduated. 

College: my poetry teacher passed away. And there were teachers protesting about benefits changes or something.

I managed to get into the network administrators computer and changed the backgrounds of all computers in the school to goatse (do NOT google it). Got found out and was suspended for a week. Worth it.

This one girl got pregnant in 5th grade(yes, that can happen), her friends were so proud of her even though her parents were pissed and shipped her off to live with her grandma in Florida.  I never heard about her after that except through her friends who I didn't like very much.

Had a teacher in the 7th grade that was part of the KKK, everyone knew it but no one really did anything about it.  He was very proud of that and brought it into the classroom, he wouldn't target the black kids though, mostly mixed kids.  Of course the administration didn't believe it and ignored all complaints against him.  Wish I remembered his name but I can't, maybe it's better that way.

My high school years were rather dull so I don't have much to say about that besides the odd drug dealer or someone smoking weed in the bathroom.

Even though my High School is widely known throughout its county for having multiple fights between the students every day, as well as the terrible restroom and cafeteria food quality there, the one thing of notable importance that happened took place during my Senior Year...

During the final semester of my senior year, a random student took a snapchat picture posted by one of my friends and added his own caption to it exclaiming that he (my friend) was going to shoot up the school the next day. While I don't remember what day it was, I do remember that the student posted the newly captioned image on either snapchat or instagram (I don't remember which, but it was most likely on snapchat) and it soon spread far and wide to basically every student and teacher that went to the school. After a few hours, this was brought up to the Police, who decided to investigate the situation by detaining my friend the next day at his house so that they could question him about it. On that day, over half of the students remained home in fear of an actual school shooting...and since my school is as it is, they were punished for staying home rather than going to school that day.

I did end up being the one of the few that went to school, as my parents could care less about there being a shooting, and it was peacefully calm and quiet that day due to the lack of students...as normally people would be running and yelling through the halls, so that's something I didn't complain about. Anyways, as life began to go on as normal, my friend was kept out of school (or at least out of class) for the next week for questioning until the person behind the post was found and punished for their cause of panic throughout the school. Since then, the school has been kinda strict about what people post when referring to the school and its staff and students, but it has been around a year since this occurred, so I can't say for sure what the school's policies are about it now.

This is a big one, shook near enough the entire city, and even made it into some cringe compilations. 

Basically, a girl who was a few years above me in school, ended up getting engaged to one of our Janitors, who was 60 years old (& recently divorced) at the time. Of course, as soon as the school found out, the guy was instantly fired and the whole situation became a giant meme/inside joke at our school. Even major news resources reported on it.

I'm not even joking, this legit happened.

My School was renovating  back in the day and rented a small container for us to learn in because we didn't had enough classrooms.

At the same time our Chemical teacher had the great idear to teach our 10th graders how to build stench bombs.

In my freshman year of High School(a.k.a, last year) some kid threatened to shoot up the school on a Friday. Paranoia floated throughout the school all week, and students threatened to not come to school on Friday. School was cancelled that day, though, and it was never mentioned again.

Can't really remember any major scandals from my highschool years, but we did have a bomb threat while I was there.

As for college, WIU (Western Illinois University) has had several scandals. One was the editor in chief of the school paper getting suspended for videotaping and selling video of a fight on campus. Another was the contract negotiations between the professors and teachers and the administration.
