My interpretation of the teacup emoticon for a long time has been, "I'll drink to that.". I've never figured out if it's supposed to mean someone agrees or disagrees with the post (I guess it just depends on the person's mindset), just that they commend your efforts in what you wrote.

I am not sure if it is more appropriate that the teacup emote is the one that can be summoned by magic (vs, for example, the teacups the tea ponies sell) or less so..
