Well, this obviously contains big-ASS spoilers for S8 finale, which has been aired early in Denmark, be advised

I'm very happy he got reformed, and saw the error of his ways with his racism with other species. 

He was built as another case of non-villainous, but still antagonistic role, but where supposed to be completely against because Protagonists Centered Morality  (Had racism AGAINST him, sure, but more on that later), who was going to be built as a less sympathetic role, if not outright villain. Previous cases of such are Iron Will, Flim Flam, and Trix; plus a joke in the fandom of only reforming girls and not dudes ; and the writers where seemingly heading to that direction with Friendship University and the season finale teaser we've seen earlier. However, turns out that was a big Red Herring. Cozy is the sole mastermind of the whole plot, and conclusions about her working for Neightsay were inaccurate.

Why this makes me happy again? Because Neightsay's racism, while not supposed to be sided on, he's not without merits. His main argument was the possibility of foreign creatures using the magic of friendship as a weapon against ponies, and he has basis on that fear, considering three out of five non-Sandbar Young6 members are members of species with an history of aggression against poneh, and add griffins in the mix if we count supplementary material, something the show doesn't even bother to acknowledge  . Anyway, I think the end result is fantastic, as they've purposely built Neightsay as a red herring

Don't you think that title is a bit revealing to be fair? I'm going to change that title because you pretty much just gave it away what happens to them with the title. I mean, it might be a bit predictable but come on, man. You basically just spoiled what happened at the end of the season.
