Inspiration for Pony fanfic from unlikely places

Have you ever gotten inspiration from the most unlikely places for Pony fanfiction, like, say, power metal songs?

I get inspired from a lot of games that I play - Zelda, Pokémon, etc. A lot of ideas from these games are oozing with potential.

I have yet to write a fic, but I do have ideas I'd like to write down mostly inspired by videogames. One franchise that's inspiring me the most is Fiyah Emblem . Zelda a bit as well, considering Link/Epona are FIM canon
