I was lucky in that several fans of my writing notified me, and helped get the plagiarist banned from that story site! 1 Thank you Sparklefan1234!!! It doesn't take much, and as long as you just stay calm, usually its painless. As an author who once had an entire story stolen, with just the character names changed, I can sympathize completely. I was lucky in that several fans of my writing notified me, and helped get the plagiarist banned from that story site! I don't get why people NEED to steal other peoples' work, it just plain greedy. I've seen it enough on Flipnote Hatena, There was one where a person made a spinoff, but the only thing he changed was the name to his, and then claimed it as his own. Hatena was quick to take it off, but still. I miss my DSi "No, I am not going to run, I am not going to hide, I am going to take a stand and fight!" I would probably feel very guilty if I done something like this, so I wouldn't do it in the first place. I literrally went onto Wikipedia, copied their article, removed all the little edit links and handed it in as my own work. Teacher thought I did a really good job, until the next day and we presented our reports to the class, I pulled up the article on the projector, proving my point. I ended up with an A because even though I didn't write a report, I illustrated my point so well, there really was no need to. But, it just goes to show that its too easy to steal another's work and call it your own. I guess theft is the best form of flattery. Its great to know that dA, and the story site, were so responsive and took action as fast as they could. Some websites take their good old time, unless your a company that has a lot of money.
