Tulpa Discussion Thread V1.2

I think Fluttershy is starting to become more vocal and talk a little bit more, not completely sure but I believe its her. Kind of really excited.

[] is Rainbow Dash, and {} is Keystroke

{Hi. I'm not really sure about meeting new ponies, and I don't really know why I'm being kind of shy right now.}

[You just need to practice, man.]

Hey Rainbow, Keystroke and Krueger, how are you guys today?

Pretty good.

{Trying to ignore Krueger's...thing...doubt about hypnosis. Other than that, I'm pretty fine.}

[Meh. Trying to help Keystroke out with that. You know, I kind of thought I'd freak out at somepony noticing/interacting with me.]

Oh yea, if you are worried that hypnosis might screw something up, it is pretty much 99% chance that everything works out fine.

I want to talk about a heavy/serious topic that I think might make some of the tulpas here mad. Should I post in the forum or just PM somepony?

PM me if you want.

Everything is going good with Zephyr, we've moved on to tactile imposition which is easier than I thought it would be.

"We've made some progress on possession too, I'm now able to move most of his fingers and his right wrist, but movement is still a bit sluggish".

I don't have a lot of time to write right now so... good luck everyone !

"You're terrible at conclusions"

I know...

My Ariel's been practicing possession a bit. She's having a bit of a hard time learning how to control my limbs properly. She managed to sit up in my body after wrestling my limbs, though I could swear at some point she was trying to swim in my bed with the way she was kicking my legs, pff.

[Hey, it's harder than you think! It's not easy to get used to a new body. >:T]

This subject has interested me for a good while, so I started trying to make a tulpa a few days ago.

However, I find that I have a hard time meditating. After about 20 minutes or so of forcing, I start to get really restless. I can generally go for 20-30 minutes before I have to stop. Did anyone else experience something similar?

Hm... I have a few questions about tulpamancing.

I'm trying to create a tulpa. I've went through the initial steps of giving it a name, personality, narrating, etc... But I did that in a really shallow manner. He does exists, but he's not very well defined yet.

Anyways, I have a feeling deep inside my mind that tulpamancing is bullshit. Like, I sometimes randomly think that creating a tulpa isn't going to work and that I'll be just imagining possible answers to my questions inside my head. Thing is, I want it to work. So will I be able to fully create a tulpa even if I have a slight disbelief about it all? I'm trying to get rid of the thought, but it's just something too new and weird for me to handle it properly.

Oh, by the way, I think I created two tulpas when trying to create just one. One is Erin and the other one is Thunderlane (from a past experience in the beginning of this year, when I didn't even knew tulpas existed :P I just feel like he was a tulpa, but more like an imaginary friend, because I'm pretty sure that all of his answers came from my conscience. ._. )

I won't be a complete brony until I get a Thunderlane plushie and go to a convention.

@Caramba2654 Imagining possible answers to questions or controlling your tulpa's movements in the early stages of tulpamancy is normal (as far as I know). You know how when you were little, your parents probably had to help you walk, or get you to say your first words? It's like that.

@Banul You could always just go about your day and imagine your tulpa reacting to things you experience. That's what I did.

Who here remembers their first day of tulpaforcing extremely accurately? I'm trying to write about mine, but I don't want to misremember it/"remember" a lie.

Alright, I really kind of want to know if all this tulpa stuff is legit, and I realize that the only way to know for sure is to experience it for myself.  After much thought about it, and curiosity overwhelming the rest of my doubts, I've decided that I want to give it a try.  However, my mind wanders a lot, and I understand it would be difficult for me to do forcing or narration (based on what I'm hearing here) if I can't keep focused on it.

So that said, any advice on how to keep focused, or some specific techniques to try?

You MUST read stories and such and confirm your belief in it all.

I know. I believe in them! I just have this feeling that it won't work with me. And it's a feeling that I don't want to have, but I can't really control either. Guess I'll just have to live with it and develop my tulpas that way.

Just a quick question, how hard is it or unadvised is it to try to develop two tulpae at the same time, would that screw too much up or is it actually something one can do?

It's possible, but difficult for beginning tulpamancers

How do other ponies "trigger" possession? I roll my neck/head, but in the past I'd imagine my tulpa's coat flowing over my skin. Sometimes I'd feel tingling where their wings or ears would be (but never their tail, for some reason).

Since I have Ariel's presence imposed into the real world, I just imagine her coming to me and jumping into my body, where she settles herself kind of like she's taking the pilot/driver's seat in a vehicle.

Does Ariel mind that you don't have a tail or pony ears, when she possesses you?

Well, she's still trying to adjust to my body when she possesses me, so there's a lot of different things she probably minds :P

Lately, she's been trying to figure out how my limbs work, legs especially. They're different than pony legs after all, hehe.

Do you mean something other than the elongated ankle bones that make it look like ponies, birds, etc. have backwards knees? That's the only difference I can think of.

Well, it's basically that. Pony legs and the like are made for quadrupeds, human legs are obviously biped. She hasn't tried walking really yet, but she's told me that the way they work is just different. Probably something to do with the way they bend.

On another note, has anyone here tried to test their tulpa for parallel processing? Someone told me about this nifty little test over on DeviantArt that does just that. Ariel and I have tried it, and while it was touch and go at first, we've both gotten perfect scores three times since then. I know there are other ways to test that, I just thought this one was nifty. :)

Ponies actually have legs just like ours. The only difference is the length of each segment. They have medium thighs, really short legs and really long feet. If you think about it like that, it suddenly becomes a lot easier to picture a transition.

EDIT: Something like this:
