I watched an episode of it, wasn’t really into it. Though I know A LOT about the core concepts and various enemies.

What is it you like about her? Since compared to the others, she seems to have the least lines and in most people's eyes, is the weakest one in the lineup.

Me? I like how she actually tries to get to know about the young man she met in the forest by allowing him to come to the cottage and meet her aunts. After, he's the first human other than her aunts she's met and she would like to introduce him. I also feel sorry for her when she learns she's really a Princess and her life as a peasant was essentially a lie.

She’s such a kind, gentle person, and spends time with her little forest friends, and plays along with them when they pretend to be a prince, it’s so cute. I love the knowing smiles she flashes at her “aunts” when she knows they’re up to something.

And of course you’re right with what you pointed out with Phillip as well.

Also, I find that the more other people trash talk or look down on a character, the more it is that I’ll like and attempt to stand up for them. Like I’m attempting to make up for the abuse and neglect they receive by loving them as much as I can.

And as a bonus, since there’s so little canon attention on her, that means creatives like me can fill in the gaps, which is super fun.

Also, both Aurora and Phillip not getting a line of dialog in the 2nd half of the film is not necessarily a bad thing because their actions and expressions speak volumes. I always imagine after Aurora is awaken, Phillip tells her how her aunts save him from Maleficent and Aurora realizes her "Aunts" really were looking out for her.

Nothing wrong with crushing on people you're not compatible with. As long as you know it wouldn't work out and don't make them uncomfortable, it's harmless.
