Bluebell waved to Final. "G-goodbye, Finn-- er- Final, good l-l-luck to you-you." After Final went into the portal and left, she said, "I-I w-w-wonder how-how he d-d-does that."  She looked about the arcade and spotted a console with  the words, 'SONIC the Hedgehog' printed on it in bold blue letters.  "Th-th-that one looks in-interesting..."

"You're not the only one. I think it has something to do with time magic, but it's not something I'm too familiar with. One things for sure. He sure does know how to make an entrance and exit." Dynamo chuckled, before looking to the console that Bluebell had spotted. Seeing the 'SONIC the Hedgehog' printed in blue lettering caused Dynamo to smile. "Oh, that's a good first game to try out. Next to Mareio, Sonic is a very well known game character. He's known all about running fast and speed." He says, leading Bluebell over towards the gaming console.

"Wait, weren't we gonna do a quick round of Mario Kart?" Thundy asked. He felt left hanging, as if the group got distracted by other things such as Final's departure and Phoenix's sudden departure.

"Oh, I'm sorry about that. With so much happening at once, I didn't know if we were all going to do certain games." Dynamo responded, giving the male griffon an apologetic look. "Bluebell said she was a newbie when it comes to gaming. So, I was hoping to show her a game or two. Maybe we can play a quick race after I show Bluebell some games."

Final gives hugs to whoever wants them and waves to others. "Be sure to tell Kronos goodbye for me." He makes a request, then looks at the portal. "Guess I'll see you all... next time." And with a final pun, he walks through the portal, and the portal closes.

And now the night belongs to everyone else.

With a final wave to Final, Thundy turned and heard Dynamo's comment. "Alright, I'll be playing that Galaga cabinet over there." Thundy stated as he walked over to the galaga arcade cabinet and started up a game. He beat the first level in less than 30 seconds.

Pencil sat idly at the Mareio Kart station. It seemed like no one wanted to play that game right now. It wasn’t any fun playing singer player, so Pencil wandered off to play something else until the group wanted to return to the game.

Pencil hummed an imaginary tune as she wandered around the arcade. She didn’t know what she was doing or where she was going, she just vaguely hoped she’d end up somewhere interesting. After a couple minutes of glancing at the library of arcade machines, she found something that caught her eye. It wasn’t a video game per say, but it was still a game.

She happily cantered towards the sleek rectangular machine half-filled with adorable animal plushies of all kinds. Pencil probably had enough plushies at home, but she wasn’t worried about that right now. The pink dolphin in the left corner was calling out to her.

“Heehee, here I go!” she chirped as her hoof grasped the joystick.

She maneuvered the joystick left and right, trying to plot out the best angle for the claw to go. It jiggled around slightly once it stopped, centering itself on its target. Taking a breath, Pencil steadied her hoof and firmly pressed the red button in front of her. The claw lowered, shaking as if it was nervous about its own performance.

Its talons grasped at the plush, but could not keep a grip on it. The claw gave up and retreated to its original position.

“Bah!” Pencil scoffed.

Stretching herself out, Pencil prepared herself so she could really focus this time. She clutched the joystick determinedly and awoke the claw from its state of rest.

Thundy heard Pencil scoff from a distance at one of those claw machines. He decided to quit the game of galaga and go over to her. "Hey, I could win something for ya..." He said looking into the claw machine at the different plushies.

“Oh, that’s ok!” Pencil replied to Thundy who had offered to help her win at the claw. “I can get it myself,”

She tried again and squinted at the claw, hoping it would surrender to her stare and give her a good position. It froze out of fear, or at least it appeared that way. Pencil put all of her right hoof’s weight into the red button, hoping that by doing so, the claw would not tremble during its descent. In a desperate manner, it clung for dear life onto the plush.

The plush was slowly drug through the air as the claw made its way towards the deposit slot. Pencil’s eyes lit up and she donned a huge grin. Her heart twitched with excitement as the pink dolphin’s tale brushed against the outer rim of the slot.

Alas, the dolphin failed to fall through. It was hanging off the rim, almost as if it was ready to fall through. Pencil grew frustrated and began to jostle the claw machine. Unfortunately, her weight against the machine barely did anything but sway it a little. Gasping from the effort, Pencil turned to Thundy for assistance.

“Do you think you could shake the machine up for me? I want that pink dolphin plush,” she asked.

"That won't be right Pencil. Here, I got you." Thundy said as he took over the joystick. He then went for a purple teddybear that matched Pencil's fur color. He looked through the side glass of the claw machine to check his angles. Thundy then made some minor adjustments, and checked the angles again. He then dropped the claw. It wrapped around the teddybear's waist. The claw opened a little just before it was right below the prize chute. However, the teddybear fell onto the dolphin plush and the two plushies fell into the chute. "There! Now you got double prizes!" Thundy said smiling at Pencil.

"Okay and can do." Dynamo responded as they arrived at the Sonic console. "So, first thing's first. This version of the game is called Sonic 2. In this game, you can play as Sonic, but you can also play as his friend. A yellow, twin tailed fox, who's ironically named Tails. They each play in unique ways. Sonic is all about running fast and attacking when he's spinning. Tails can do the same exact thing, but he can also fly and help pick Sonic up to avoid certain obstacles. Is there a certain character you'd like to play? This way, we can both play together and I can assist you if you need help." He explained, opting to pick the other character that she doesn't pick.

"Okay and that sounds good to me. This way, you'll have a good chance to learn how to play the game, while I give you some pointers." Dynamo smiled as he selected his character. Once that was done, the game had officially begun. As they arrived in the first level, Green Hill Zone, Dynamo smiled as the scenery felt so nostalgic. "It's been so long since I've been at this level. Now, the controls are pretty simple. You can use the directional pads to move back and forth. Down to crouch and up to look up. There is one button that allows you to jump which puts Sonic into a ball. That's his spin form, which allows him to jump on enemies to not get damaged. The only enemies that can hurt him is if they're covered in spikes. There's another button that allows him to spin in place if you hold the down button. This allows him to charge up speed, before letting go and allowing him to rush forward. That's what's known as his signature spin dash attack." He explained, before continuing. "The object of the game is to reach the end goal of the level as fast as you can. There's a timer, but they are pretty forgiving so you don't need to rush. The idea is to collect these gold circles called rings. That's basically what keeps Sonic alive in the game. You get hit with rings, then all the rings get knocked out of him, but he can still move around. However, if he gets hit and there are no rings, then you lose. If you collect a certain amount of rings and reach a checkpoint, then you have a chance to get these items called a Chaos Emerald. If we find one, then I'll show you what happens. For now, it's mostly about playing and learning. Most importantly, it's all about having fun." He smiled, before giving the bespectacled mare an apologetic look. "Also, I'm sorry about the giant explanation."

Pencil gasped as Thundy managed to snag not one, but two prizes! He didn’t even have to jostle the machine to get them. Now that Pencil thought about it, they would have probably gotten in trouble for cheating if a plush fell without the claw’s assistance. Pencil levitated the prizes with her magic: the pink dolphin she had eyes on and a purple teddy bear that matched her coat color.

“Thanks, Thundy! Heh, now that I think about it, I’m glad you didn’t move the machine around. You’re a lot stronger than me, so it might have gotten damaged,” she thanked him.

She eyed the two plushies again as an idea came to her. Thundy helped her not only get one, but two adorable plushies. He deserved some sort of reward for his efforts. Turning to him, she asked,

“Um, would you like one of these, you know, as a thank you? Since you’re the one that got them out of the machine, you can pick which one’s yours,”

"I really think that purple teddybear suits you better Pencil." Thundy said with a wink, eying the dolphin. "Say, wanna play a game together?" Thundy asked. Meanwhile Chelsea was practicing some of the harder songs on DDR.

Pencil giggled.

“Hehe, true! You can have the dolphin then,” she said, levitating it closer to Thundy.

Now that Pencil knew the teddy bear was 100% hers, she cradled it lovingly. She paid such a great deal of attention to it that she barely heard Thundy’s question. Springing back into reality, she replied,

“Uh-oh, y-yeah, I’d love to play a game with you! What do you wanna play?”

Thundy headed towards an empty spot. He gathered some electricity and made a set of "Fast and Furious: Supercars" arcade games appear. 'So, ready to learn how to race cars?" Thundy asked looking at Pencil.

Pencil watched as Thundy made two arcade consoles appear. The cars in the game were a lot more sleek in design than the karts everyone had made during the town race. She was very excited to do some racing again

“Yeah, I’m ready!” she cheered.

Thundy sat in the left chair and pressed start. He entered his code on the telephone buttons to log into his profile. There, all his cars were there. They were nearly maxed out.

Pencil sat in the chair next to Thundy and began working on her own car. Predictably, she made it purple but added some orange flames to it. She was content with a regular looking car, so she didn’t opt to make it or the wheels bigger. However, she did want to add some turbo boosters as one final flourish. Once she was finished, she pressed the gas button to confirm.

She glanced over to Thundy and saw that he already had a ton of pre-designed cars at his disposal. They were also on the highest level they could be, which made Pencil a little nervous. However, she knew that with a good strategy, she had just of a fair chance at winning as Thundy did.

Thundy picked one of the easier courses for Pencil's sake: Mojave. The game went to the starting line screen. "Ready...set...GO!" The announcer called out. Thundy slammed the gas perfectly on "GO" giving him a nitro-boosted start. He was in third place due to the fact.

Once the course started up, Pencil stared intently at the screen. She tapped the gas pedal excitedly, the pedal flapping up and down like a pegasus wing. In mere seconds, the race had begun. Pencil hadn’t built up the speed she desired, but she wasn’t that far behind. She was only in fifth place.

Thundy tapped the gas once turning the steering wheel hard causing his car to go into a drift. Thundy was using his Ford GT. He then tapped the gas again and drifted the other direction through a long S turn. Thundy then double tapped the gas and it caused his Ford GT to pull a wheelie. Thundy hit an opponent from behind causing his Ford GT to backflip into the air and land on all four tires. He kept going, and passed through a checkpoint.
